This HR Block is so unprofessional and unhelpful and every way possible. They messed up my SIMPLE (usually takes 15 min since I have nothing but my job to claim) 2022 taxes and I got a smaller refund than I was owed. They had me run around in circles to figure out how to fix it and refused to help. I had to get another office to do the amendment. They (Gabbey Reyes) lied about sending me the refunded fee for doing my taxes with their “pro” since January. It’s April and they’re still lying and unhelpful. I’ve had to get the district manager involved all for a fee. DONT DO YOUR TAXES HERE!

I called H&R Block and only on my 3rd call did I get to talk to somebody who can do the tax form I need. She was friendly-sounding on the phone. Since it was almost 5 pm, she set me up an appointment the following day Saturday (3/9/2024) at 2 PM. I went here at the McPherson Office and talked to Ms. Flores. She ushered me into her office with a smile and gave me the list of things she needs to do Form 1065. When I asked her for the charge, she gave me a whooping $700. I almost fell from my seat and just uttered “Expensive!” When I asked her how much if I do it online, she said she does not know. That, to me, is preposterous! She is from H&R Block and she does not know their company pricing??? That really turned me off. I wanted to ask her a few other questions since it was a free consultation but her “dunno” response to me was not too welcoming. I said my thank you and left telling myself “No more H&R Block!”

Apparently all their locations are closed in Laredo. I keep calling and they keep saying oh this one is close. I also show up in person to the location they advise is not closed and go figure that one is closed too. Waste of time.

It was very easy to submit paperwork and the agent I worked with (Jerry Gonzalez) was super well prepared and helpful. Best of all, the whole process took like 15 mins tops.

In 2019 my son went to do a Ammendment return because he had received another W2 and I had already done his taxes (mom) instead Jose Gonzalez did a regular return, Jose Gonzalez did regular return not Ammendment return and charged my son 315.00 for doing nothing, My son has been going more than 8 times to this office and they keep lying to him and finding excuses to not correct and refund him his over charged amount he was charged. It has been almost a year and nothing but guess what I did we have reported him and his manager as well to district manager, you guys got caught you thought that by deleting his form on your system they would not find out, yes they deleted his return from there system....well we have the copies and receipt of what you guys charged my son.....Be aware of this place hope they get fired.....
