February 2018 by andy lowe
We stopped for gasoline this past Saturday the 24th of Feb about noon. When we tried to pump, the machine kept quitting and it never gave us gas. The clerk told us they were out of gas, which we understand is nothing out of the ordinary. We went to another gas station and bought fuel, and when we arrived home and went over our bank transactions, we see there is a $91.00 hold on our debit card/checking account from having stopped at this out of gas station. Not only did we not get gas from them, but they billed our account as if we had bought an enormous amount of gas! It's Monday the 26th of Feb and they still have a hold of $91.00 on our checking account. I believe a legal warning should be posted in plane view on their pumps, warning the public that "We will place a $91.00 hold on all debit/credit card transactions." There is no good excuse for this business practice. It's deceptive and one way.
