Shiloh Trails - Trailhead offers a unique outdoor experience in Laredo, providing visitors with a sense of escape from the urban environment. The park features exciting mountain-bike trails that cater to both pros and amateurs, with rugged paths winding through thick brush and over wooden bridges. While the trails can be challenging, especially with steep sections requiring some hikers to walk, they are enjoyable for those seeking adventure. However, visitors should be cautious of the fast-moving bikers and navigate the narrow paths accordingly. The park is also suitable for leisurely walks and family outings, although some trails may be confusing without proper signage, leading to occasional detours. The presence of a creek adds beauty but also attracts mosquitoes, so bug repellent is recommended. While the area feels peaceful, some visitors noted a need for better maintenance and cleanliness. Portable restrooms are available at the start, but there are no formal picnic areas. Overall, Shiloh Trails is a pleasant spot for exploration and recreation, suitable for dog walkers and families, but visitors should prepare for varying trail conditions and wildlife.

Nice place to go to feel like you are not really in a desert. The trails are family friendly and are not too hard for even little kids. There are quite a bit of mosquitoes on the trails due to the moisture from creek throughout the trails. So be sure to apply bug repellant before heading out there.
