I'm sure it's a great place. But could you please change that torn and worn American flag. I'm glad to see it wave, I am a veteran (USMC), but it needs to be renewed. Thank you.

There have to be better hotels in the area, I’d try one of them. I’m glad we were only here one night as we passed through. This hotel needs an upgrade. I asked for extra coffee at the front desk but was told they are all out. It’s a “suite” but is the little things like one spoon in the room, the recliner won’t recliner etc.

One of my worse stays that I have had. Get to location at 11:30pm and waited for 30 minutes before someone showed up to work the front desk. They said that they were short handed. Then got to my room and it stunk like rotten food was left in the fridge for a month but nothing was in the fridge. Then realized that the heater did not work. They did fix the heater the next day but then that stunk as bad as the food smell did. I had asked if they fixed the food smell and they said "all set", but it was not!Rooms: same as above. They stunk horribly.

Elizabeth is awesome!!!! Very polite and a great listener. She gets you booked in quick and efficient as long as the guest has everything in order. Niro is a great guy as well! Rooms are always clean. Couple of them do need some attention. Let them know. They will fix it for you.

I wish I could give 4-5 stars but our experience was just ok on vacation. I'll start with the fact that there is no vent in the bathrooms so it just gets really humid in the whole room. This is probably why they are dealing with mildew problems. There was a strong mildew smell after day 3 in our room. We couldn't breathe well, my daughter was stuffy and my asthma was acting up. Our friend stopped by and noticed the smell too. We asked for a different room and they switched us so that was good. Unfortunately that room was not much better (at least it wasnt smelling bad) and we just kept the window cracked open to get fresh air.The only other issue was when I went to do laundry . Just my luck, I used the 1 washer that was apparently broken. There was no sign or anything indicating it was out of order either. Went to the front desk to let them know and they said "Oh yes, we are aware of that issue, just dont use that 1 and use the bigger one." So I had to get all the soaking wet laundry out to the big machine and buy more detergent. Should put up a sign to warn people.Honestly not the best experience at a hotel. Thankfully we still had a good time on vacation, the staff were friendly and understanding.Rooms: They have a kitchen and full size fridge. They provide utensils and pots n pans. Bathrooms dont have vents thus humidity in the room creates a problem for the growth of mildew.

Stayed there during a project and had a great overall experience.Elizabeth at the front desk was an excellent host and took care of all of my needs. She went out of her way to get my booking issues resolved after my extremely long trip.As a full time traveler it's really rare to find great hotel customer service.Thank you again for your great hospitality.

Stayed for an extended 26 days., with my dog. Well kept, nice friendly staff. Parking was the only problem as they were painting the hotel (outside)the entire time I was there. Free laundry was a A+! My room was right behind the elevator, 1st floor. Never heard anyone or the elevator the entire time. Did hear the fire alarm and a car alarm (parked right outside my window, in the handicap space) in the middle of the night several times! But overall a great experience.

We had a great 2 night stay at the Candlewood Suites. Diana from the front desk was amazing! We needed to find a hotel at the last minute and she helped accommodate our needs! She brings a positive energy and great customer service to the hotel. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

I was staying at the Candlewood Suites in League City for a work trip.I ended up switching hotels before the end of the trip because of pest issues. There were gnats flying around my room and crawling on my bed. The gnats were annoying, but I tried to stick it out to avoid the inconvenience of switching hotels. Then I saw a cockroach in the hallway, and that was the final straw for me. If it wasn’t for the pest issue, the hotel would be pretty good. The gym was well-equipped and there was a stocked pantry of snacks/convenience items. And it is in a good location nearby food and shopping. However, I would stay away until they find a way to manage toe pests.

Staff extremely helpful, room very comfortable, very close to many restaurants and shopping, hallways could use a little help but very clean and kept up. Pantry fully stocked and reasonably priced for the guests. Will definitely be staying here again any time I'm in the area. It's a little further out but the location makes up for the extra 10 minutes of drive time to downtown. Thank you so much for making my stay in the Houston area much more comfortable and enjoyable.

Kim at the front desk was great! She was super friendly and provided great recommendations on dinning and things to do in the area. She made our stay more enjoyable. The room was great and offered a lot of great amenities like a full size kitchen, stove top, and microwave. Overall great hotel and even better staff!

This hotel is in desperate need of some renovations and a DEEP cleaning. The mildewed room that we were \"downgraded\" to was NOT enjoyable. It was late when we arrived and the king bed reservation that we made was not available. What's the point of a reservation?? We were credited 20 dollars off our stay for a room that had previously been flooded. The mildew smell was terrible. Many other areas around the hotel were noticed that were in need of repair. There are too many choices available. Skip this one.

We stayed at this hotel from 6/18 to 6/20, we literally only used it to sleep since the hotels out by the beach were sold out. It was by far one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. The moment you enter the hotel you get hit with a strong mildew smell, it seems like they mop this area often to mask this smell with bleach and fabuloso. The reason for my poor review is just for the room itself, we stayed in a double queen room and when we entered that room that mildew smell got even stronger. It almost seemed as if they had attempted to clean the carpet and it didn’t have time to dry, so the stench of that room just sat there. We tried to open the windows but it only opened to about half inch so it didn’t make too much of a difference. My next issue was the bathroom, it just didn’t look or felt clean. I understand when a hotel has to make repairs, or just does quick fixes but the bathroom looked really gross when it looks like they had attempted to fix things with silicone and parts of that silicone were already turning black. The cabinets are peeled, cracks on the floor in the bathroom, the toilet seat is wooden and has stains on the bottom of the lid, there are some questionable stains on walls, I can go on and on but it’s just not candlewood quality. It honestly felt like a cheap motel on the side of the freeway, and it is extremely run down. I really think the rooms need a deep cleaning and windows need to be opened to let that awful stench out. My husband is an elite member, so we used points for one of the nights but it was a waste of points as the quality of the hotel was not worth it. We won’t be coming back next time, and I truly hope you take our review to fix the issues that are wrong with your hotel. We didn’t have too much interaction with the hotel staff other than at the time of check in and they were fairly nice and friendly- so atleast that’s a good thing, but please address the terrible smell. Guests shouldn’t have to stay in a room like that, it is not acceptable.

Pool was unusable for the 5 nights we were there with an 8 year old, management says it's fine and that's how commercial pools are. Pools are not bright green, cloudy and murky!Hallways are hot and misty, room smelled of mildew, the first night we arrived the blankets were damp, called down for more blankets got told by the front desk she didn't know where they were and would look, never heard back, this left me with a cranky crying child because they couldn't sleep. Asked again in the morning to have some sent up, nothing, asked again that evening got told they didnt have a single extra blanket in the entire hotel. The entire place smelled of dampness and mildew

2 of the 3 people were very friendly. Great location but... 303 had a musty mold stench, I had to leave the window open and blast the air the whole time I was in the room. It was one night but my son and I were getting conjested, headachy from it. I won't be back for that reason.Toilet leaked and it wasn't flushing well, had to call it in. Their phones in the room don't work. Remote channel button didn't work. But the cleaning crew did a great job. They need to address the fake scent of vanilla in the stale air hallway and the musty mold in the rooms. Probably wouldn't hurt to clean the carpets more often with no scent.Beds were comfy, sheets and pillows nice. It really was just a maintenance/deep cleaning issue. They keep the lobby super clean, bleached the floors while I was there. So walking in you can't tell until you get to the rooms.
