Store was clean and organized. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are still not completely marked and clear to consumers when purchasing.

Snarky elderly cashier can ring up only a few customers and proceed to turn off light and go laugh in the back on her cell phone. Rude and mouthy.

Older ladies working today July 29th around 2pm were very rude! Was standing at the register for 5 minutes and they just kept staring at me not wanting to help. Left everything at the counter and just walked out and they just stared at me. I’ve never experienced this type of behavior before. Very rude women. Management needs to speak with these women and fix the issue.

Absolutely Unacceptable Customer Service Experience – Needs Immediate Corporate Attention
As a community member who frequently visits this Dollar Tree location, I’m deeply disappointed and compelled to share an alarming interaction that took place this evening just before closing.
I entered the store with only a few minutes left to grab a last-minute item. Upon entry, there was no greeting or acknowledgment from the front associate, Caty. A moment later, she approached—not to offer genuine assistance, but to aggressively suggest that I “hurry up and find whatever you’re looking for because I gotta leave.” I declined the help, as I knew what I needed. Her response? “Well, you need to hurry up.” This level of disrespect was completely unwarranted.
I quickly realized they didn’t have what I needed and began heading toward the exit—still with five minutes left before closing. Caty then doubled down, loudly saying “Hey, you gotta go,” “You’re done,” and “The store is closed,” with an incredibly rude and dismissive tone. Her demeanor was erratic and unsettling, and I genuinely questioned whether she was under the influence of something.
To make matters worse, the exit doors were already locked, and I was physically unable to leave the store until someone opened them. I’ve never had to ask to be let out of a store before closing time—it was absurd and borderline concerning.
Amid all this chaos, another employee, Charissa, stepped in and calmly apologized on behalf of her coworker, acknowledging that Caty’s behavior was not acceptable and should not have happened. She even mentioned that “Randy told me to apologize,” implying this is not an isolated incident with this employee. While I appreciate Charissa’s professionalism and accountability, it is deeply concerning that Caty is still allowed to represent this store in any capacity.
As I was leaving, I witnessed Caty verbally berating Charissa—further showing a total lack of self-control or respect, even toward her own team members.
This was not just poor customer service—it was hostile, disturbing, and unsafe. No customer should be treated with such blatant disrespect or feel trapped in a retail environment.
I sincerely hope corporate sees this review and takes it seriously. I urge Dollar Tree leadership to investigate this matter thoroughly and take immediate action to ensure a safe and respectful environment for both customers and employees alike.
Kudos to Charissa for trying to make things right—she showed more grace and professionalism than I’ve seen from some managers. She deserves recognition. But Caty’s behavior is not only unacceptable—it’s a liability.

I just bought a lot of items today . I tried to help the cashier on putting away some stay out of her way and she took it harshly as if I’m rushing her and told me that it was not a nice gesture. What a rude statement to a costumer who’s trying to help. She just ruined by day and my interest of buying on this store again. I’m old but I’m not that rude like her.

Cleaner than some days when I go there. They really need to pay their employees more for all the work they do.

All of the employees and management here at this Dollar Tree are absolutely wonderful people. Love to shop here, great values. The store is clean and well organized. They just remodeled the landscaping and parking lot area. Beautiful new mural being artistically painted upon the side of the building. They are a wonderful part of the League City landscape. They are kind enough to allow me to park my semi truck there while I’m at home which allows me to visit their store on a fairly regular basis.

I was recently displaced and living in a hotel. Due to our circumstances, we were registered with many programs that provide lists of places and stores that help alleviate the burden of living expenses. I was informed by a program director that Dollar Tree sells cartons of milk that do not need to be refrigerated. This is one of the best ideas I have ever heard because the fridge in our room is very small. We received a call that there were 2 dollar trees where inventory was verified so we went to the store within an hour of receiving the call. We showed up and there was only one whole milk left. Our case manager said that these are staples within the stores inventory and are constantly kept in stock. I saw many boxes and carts with boxes which made me think that these whole milk could just not be put away yet. I explained my situation to the only person on the register and he went about and beyond to go in the back to look. He brought out the wrong milk so I asked him if he could asked the two older ladies talking in the office to look because it sounded as if they were in there actually complaining about the store for every person in the store to hear. He knocked on the door, they opened the door like he was bothering them. I explained my situation to the ladies and they get annoyed that I asked. One of the ladies with the wrist bandage went to the back while the other lady tried to appear to look busy by telling the young male at the register why she didn’t have a cart full of inventory put away yet. The young man was helping other customers while I was waiting for the lady to come back. She came down the aisle where I was waiting and asked me if the young man had told me that they didn’t have it. I feel it was so quick that she didn’t look thoroughly, but that of course was an assumption. Then the two older women were having a conversation about “someone” told me they had inventory and twisted my words around because they clearly didn’t listen. The facial expressions they made were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I didn’t hold back from pointing out their actions and behavior. One lady tried to apologize. She said she didn’t know I was talking to her and the other lady with the bandage on her wrist gave me the hand gesture as to shut me up. These women obviously take advantage of the young man on the register while they sit in the office complaining about the store instead of putting away inventory. Thankfully the 518 & 45 location had over 20 cartons. I purchased 4, but someone from Corporate needs to assess the League City Parkway location because that store is a mess! And those women complaining about the company probably need to retire.
