I went here to have my hair done earlier this year by Diana. I hate to leave a bad review on this place as a whole, but this is where I went to have my hair colored.
I was under the impression that we would do color correction and babylights to preserve the health of my hair with our goal of it turning out blonde. When I sat in the chair, she warned me that with the bleach, a little bit of my hair would break off. Since she said “a little bit” I assumed this meant the dead ends, or at least a small enough amount to be trimmed and not noticeable. While the color turned out nice, after I left the salon I lost chunks of hair. Chunks falling off 3 inches from my scalp and on the back of my head despite the deep conditioners, moisturizers and gentle brushing that she suggested. This was not “a little bit” of hair. I ended up getting a shag haircut that I didn’t want in an attempt to cover up the missing chunks and unevenness of my hair, and even now, months later, there are still noticeable gaps and parts missing. I have no choice but to let it grow out. I’ve bleached my hair myself many times before and have always kept my 2c curl pattern and overall hair thick, dense and healthy. Now it’s uneven, thin, extensively damaged, shorter, not curly, and I feel as though I paid $500 for someone to fry off my hair. I understand that color corrections are time consuming and difficult, but that’s why I’m going to a salon instead of doing it myself. And if she had been honest with me that it wouldn’t be just “a little bit,” or that we wouldn’t be able to achieve the color blonde without destroying my hair, I could’ve saved the money and grief of the hair I took years growing out and maintaining. What’s the point of going to get your hair colored if it falls off, looks like crap and needs years to be grown back out?

I’ve been looking around for some one who actually knows how to cut curly hair as well as styling for curly hair, that’s not the typical blow out , I’m so happy to have finally found the Perfect lady to do so . Erin really brought my hope and hair back to my dream curly hair style I’ve always thrived for. She asked me what I wanted and delivered. She educated me on techniques that work for my hair type and went in to detail with questions on how my hair can improve with proper care and products to maximize my curls . I highly recommend Erin and will now be going to her every time .

Great place, when you come in they great you and offer you a beverage while you wait for your appointment. The shampooing was a really great scalp massage session. Over all really great experience!

Erin was amazing! My 4 year old got a hairstyle with her and she was so patient, informative, and sweet! I got mine styled too and she was fabulous! She listened to everything I wanted and communicated with understanding. Everyone is very friendly too.

Since I moved here a year ago I have been to a few places to get my haircut but never really found anywhere until one day by mistake, I came across hairnovation.
I made an appointment online but the stylist I made the appointment with and the actual shop had moved. No one from that shop called or noticed me about it either. So I walked in and one of the ladies asked if I had an appointment and if so who is it with and that’s when I found out the shop and stylist I scheduled with had moved. I was going to leave but then one of the other girls {Diana} said she would do it. I’m very detailed on the way I want my hair cut so I was skeptical at first, but when she was done I was very impressed. This girl was GREAT. I’ve been coming back to get my haircut by Diana now every 3 weeks for the past 6 months. I finally found my spot,

I called to ask about- extensions and whether they color hair toppers and style to match existing hair- after the person answering seemed confused- she asked someone and responded with “no.” When asked, do you know anyone in the area that does- immediately she said, “no, no one around here does that.” How can that be? The person answering didn’t know what a “topper” or “extension” was but she is certain no one around here colors them! Glad I found a place that is knowledgeable- and of course there are a lot of stylist that do this! First impression and lack of knowledge was awful here!!

I would like to definitely recommend hair innovations for your hair needs. I appreciate that I was able to walk in and get a cut without an appointment. My stylist was Evelyn, she was amazing really took the time to help me decide on a style...let's just say hubby was pleased ?. I will definitely be going back in the future.
