I think this speaks for itself. Make sure you are always checking your change and items as this is a shift lead who works for them.

This place is an absolute nightmare. Every single time I come they don't accept my coupons. Coupons that are on their website. Today I actually walked out and just left my full cart at the cash register because I'm so sick of it. I showed the cashier my app that says I have the coupons clipped and he still wouldn't give me the coupon price. I'm so sick of this store I will never be back.

This place is worse every time I visit. I used to enjoy going here- the people and management were great. Now, just the opposite. Long lines (at 10 am on a Friday), lack of products, not very good produce, and people that don't want to be bothered to do their job. I'm not even sure that there is any management that's left there. I'm giving this store up for one less-conveniently located.

I was visiting relatives down in Friendswood around the 4th of July for a cookout, and we needed some last-minute supplies, so I volunteered to go out to pick them up at this store. I realized when I'd arrived at the store that I had brought my checkbook wallet instead of my normal wallet, so I thought I would just write a check for the groceries. The first thing I did when I got to the self-check was to ask the attendant if they would take a personal check just to be sure. She said yes, so I went ahead with it. When everything was in the bag, I wrote the check out and handed it to her. She spent about the next five minutes writing on the back of it and entering numbers into her computer--until she turned and asked me if I had another method of payment. I couldn't believe it. When I told her no, she asked if I had written any checks there recently, which didn't even make sense to me. I asked her why, and she said that "it would help." What? When I asked her why she was refusing my check, she refused to answer and rudely kept asking me if I had any other form of payment. I finally realized they just weren't going to take my check, so I took it back from her and left. So, bottom line, this Kroger refused to take my personal check. That's a first for me. I've written personal checks at a variety of grocers (Gerland's, Rice, Randall's, Safeway, HEB, Harlan's, Brookshire Bros, etc) since the early 1990s, and this is the first time I've had anyone just flatly refuse to take a check. Moreover, it's essentially a middle finger to customers. I use a card for 90% of my purchases, but not always, and if Kroger claims to that they'll take a check, it's disrespectful to waste people's time by refusing at the last minute. In fact, it's hard to remember the last time I was treated more disrespectfully at a grocery store. Last time at Kroger for me. I've generally been leaning toward HEB for some time, but that choice has been made easy by this episode.

Avoid cashiers with names like Jeraquisha at Kroger on 3541 Palmer Hwy, Texas City, TX 77590. They may be very loud, ghetto, obnoxious and unprofessional, just sad excuses for employees. You definitely don't want someone like that representing your organization in any capacity. Thank me later.

This store is crazy. I've never been into a Kroger that had clothing, and department store ideas. I'm jealous and want my Kroger toHave all this even though I'll never use it. How ever I would use all the meat, sandwich and other depts they have plus buy more food. We spent 20 mins just looking at yogurt. Mine have like a 3 foot choices. This one was half a row. That's nuts!

My wife and I are so busy these days that grocery pickup has become our preferred method of shopping, and an absolute godsend. The first place we'd heard of that offered this service was HEB. For two months we tried the location in Tuscan Lakes, but it was plagued by poor service, long waits, and rude staff, the type who make comments about what you purchased. I finally tried this Kroger at Hobbs Road about a month and a half ago, and we couldn't be happier. First of all, the service here is outstanding. My wife and I have never waited more than 5 minutes to get our order, and the servers have always been cordial and professional. The orders themselves have also been almost free of a substitutions, something that became a major issue at HEB. And finally, the parking location for pickup is so much more convenient than at HEB, where they make you park in the lot. At Kroger, you pick up on the side of the store, and it's essentially a drive-thru system. Very easy, especially in a full-size truck. All in all, I couldn't recommend this store any more, especially their pickup service.

I have been a loyal customer for a very long time. Nevertheless, recently due to the current situation for all of us, I must say that I can no longer shop at this location. The consistent bare shelves and obvious price increases on everything are ridiculous, as well as poor management. I can just as easily shop with your competitors. In other words, if I have to pay more at least I will be able to buy what I came for. Let's face it folks, the management has been struggling with this location for years, the current demand just revealed the branch weakness. Good Luck and Cash In while you can, but I'm finished with Kroger.

I went into store to purchase TP and was told by a female employee that she was putting her life on the line for me and stomped off! Asked to speak to manager. Troy (Manager) asked me did I know what was going on this world. I am 67 years old and both of these people were probably 40 and 20 years younger than me. I have been in this store five times to purchase TP and founds nothing. To the young blond female. I get up every morning at 4:30 to be at work by 7 am at the City of Houston. I am considered an essential employee and don’t have the luxury of getting to your store at 7 am to buy TP on weekdays. I have to go on my off hours. To Troy the Manager, young man I know better than you what’s the going on in the world right now. It scares me to death to think that you are future for our country going forward. God you bless you both! I hope no one ever treats your mother, sister, daughter or any loved one the way you treated me!
