Beautiful Inn 🔆 My Husband and I stayed in a one bedroom cabin for a weekend hiking trip. So lovely and private. Great location for restaurants, dogs welcome with notice- gazebo'sh area in the center of parking lot is perfect for a small wedding (not sure if they allow).
Rooms: Private cabin, studio apartment style, very clean, cozy and secluded. Outside- porch with table for 2 and wooden love seat, mini barbeque pits outside
Nearby activities: Restaurants and different types of stores/gas station all the down street, live music attached to Inn

The staff/owners (family) were beyond amazing! They will go above and beyond to make your stay a great one and ensure your room is comfortable and accommodating. Super easy check in. Great music and food! The dueling pianos made for a fun evening. Perfect location to Lost Maples and Garner State Parks. Best rates also! Highly recommend.
Rooms: The room was so unique and cozy.
Nearby activities: Hiking and 3 Twisted Sister's ride. Bent Rim Grill and Bears Den were both great places to grab food/drinks. And a big store/gas station across the street it was perfect!

We stayed there this past September and I reached out to the owners (three emails) giving them the chance to read my email and see the photos we took of the room and respond - We were in the Cypress. We never once heard one word from them. I can't begin to tell you that I would never stay there again, and the conditions of the room were horrible. Dirty and the chair cushions were ripped. Garbage was on the floor behind and under the bathroom wastebasket. Should have done better research I guess. The gal at the Garner State Park who used to work at the Inn said that after the former owner left it really has run down a lot. She is very right. Won't ever go there again.

We chose this location because of its proximity to both Garner State Park and Lost Maples Natural Area. The price was right and the unit was nice. Checkin was easy. Things I didn’t like- no counter space at the bath sink; no overhead light and a low sitting toilet. We were in unit 4 which was close to the main road so we heard traffic noise all night. That coupled with a noisy fridge motor made for a very restless night. The grounds are lovely, the unit was clean and the mattress comfy. They were also very accommodating with a date change. I would come back but would want a unit further back.

The Hart family is so welcoming and they have the perfect spot in Leakey, Texas. You can walk to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend staying here.

The double full bed cabin was perfect for our little family. It was spacious. The AC really cooled down the room. It was perfect after working around on my father in law's property and needing to cool down. They had cable with good channel selection. The hot water in the shower turned on fast and I was the last to shower and I still had warm water. The property is pretty with the pool and patio area.

We stayed in a cabin. It was quaint. The pool was full of algae. The temperpedic (sp?) style king mattress is not my favorite and not comfortable (not thick enough and on a hard platform surface). The restaurant and bar is pricy but convenient. Can’t beat the location.

I chose the Historic Leakey Inn b/c it was really close to the event I was going to, but also because it looked interesting and the Back Porch Grill attached to the Inn looked very appealing. Honestly, I was expecting it to be a little more remote, but it’s right off the main road through town, which turned out to be incredibly convenient. Everyplace I went was like 2-5 minutes away.
Checkin was super easy - loved their system. I parked right in front of my room and only had to carry my suitcase about three steps. My room was great - clean, cool, comfy bed, easy to get in, had a mini-fridge, and I appreciated the table and chairs to spread out all my stuff. Plenty of furniture to unpack if you wanted to. I could hear the fountain on the patio from my room. Pool was cold and refreshing with a relaxing little waterfall. I enjoyed reading the history of the Inn in the notebook in my room. I went to the Back Porch Grill my first evening, sat in the sun and enjoyed a couple of drinks. Great vibe! It was early, before the crowd and music, so it was super chill. Staff was very friendly.
This is just a heads up to those new to this area. I live in the Texas panhandle and have never been down here, so I had no idea of what a popular area this is for motorcyclists (look up Three Sisters or Twisted Sisters Ride). The were motorcycles everywhere, on the roads and in the parking lots, sometimes a big group riding through town, sometimes loud - especially right outside my room. I just turned the AC fan on when I went to bed. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just not what I’m used to or what I was expecting. Horses in parking lots and cowboys everywhere would have been more what I’m used to!
Oh, and I’m a cat-lover, so I enjoyed seeing the kitties roaming the place! A couple of them let me get in some pets!
Overall I had a great, relaxing stay and definitely would recommend the Inn and the area for a unique adventure!
Rooms: Clean, comfy, quaint
Nearby activities: State parks with hiking trails

We came for a South Texas Ultra Run and this was the perfect place to stay. When we arrived Friday evening the bar and grill was open. And my goodness was I surprised, the meatloaf and burger were awesome. The cabin is perfect, the area is great to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Will stay here again for sure.
