The Mechanics here were great. They took care of my daughters’ car which had unfortunately broke down on her way back to college in North West Texas. Her car had approximately 160k. The water pump, which was internal to the engine, started mixing water into the oil. The Mechanics provided me the cost to replace the water pump and what warranty came with it. I also inquired about replacing some of the other components once they had the front of the engine disassembled. At that time they then provided another estimate to replace those parts and the additional hours of labor prior to, so I could make a decision. This saved me around $2k in additional labor.
These gentleman do not try to force you to spend money to fix unnecessary parts, but let you make the decision if they are already in the engine. The additional cost for parts and labor was about $1,700, but if they would have had to go back in it would have cost about $3,700. I will continue to utilize this establishment since they want to educated their clients and allow them to make their own decisions without pressuring you into something.

Rich and the team at AEW Automotive in Leander is the best Automotive Service and Repair in Austin Tx period!!! I took my grandfathers 2007 Lincoln Town car to have A/C repaired and they were able to get it completed the day after I dropped it off. AEW has also worked on my uncles Chrysler Sebring and got it running great. Very Fast and Efficient team, I highly recommend ARW Automotive Service and Repair in Leander on Bagdad Rd to anyone looking for the Best Mechanic shop in the Austin Tx area!!!
