I visited the store on Hero Way last week after a visit with a friend who lives nearby. I wanted to pick up something for dinner and some light bulbs for my front porch.I was originally reluctant because of what most of the other Dollar Generals I have visited have been like, as far as being able to shop comfortably. (I don't have the best balance anymore.)I am new to this kind of social media thing and I'm reading all these negative comments that were posted (quite a while back), and my experience there was much the opposite. I've never seen a Dollar General where it's obvious the employees truly care about the condition of their store. The aisles were clear, and aside from the occasional item out of place, the shelves were stocked and I had very little trouble finding what I wanted. Two employees helped me while I was there and they were both very knowledgeable and friendly. Sylvia had great customer service by helping an old man like me. Mandy was available when I had a question and took me right to what I asked for. I didn't realize that she knew so much about lighting! She also recommended a couple of TV dinners for me and they turned out to be pretty good.The next time I'm out in Leander again, I will be sure to stop at this Dollar General before any others. Anyone who avoids going to Dollar General, like I used to, should really try this store because it is so much different than anything else I've ever seen with this company. I appreciate the ladies help and thank you for helping me while I was passing through.

My first visit on 11/3/22 was very disappointing. The store was in a shambles! None of the shelves were organized, product was all over the floor, nothing was in it's place. It looked like a herd of toddlers were let lose in there! It was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! I couldn't find anything. To top it off, the employees were standing at the register talking as if there was no work to do!!! They should be ashamed and embarrassed of that store!!! Don't think I'll go back any time soon!!!

Store has really gone down hill lately. Trashy employees and store is filthy. It was once nice. Now it's a trash pile. The manager Candy is the problem. Where is the guy that was the manager for years there? She needs to go back to her store and act like that.

The manager, Candy, needs to learn management skills along with customer service. I rented a RugDoctor at 3:17 pm on July 3, 2022 and while cleaning my carpets the machine shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. I returned the machine a little after 7:00 pm the same day. The assistant manager called her to ask what to do and instead of asking what happened or tell him what to do, her response was, “why she bringing it now? If she got it at 3:00, why she bringing it back so many hours later? Well, I ain’t coming down there now just for this.” I bit my tongue since it wasn’t the assistant manager’s fault that Candy is so rude ignorant and I accepted another machine. When I returned it on July 4, 2022 at around 12:00, Candy was there. I let her know that I didn’t think it was right of her to have said these things as a manager and she should be more considerate of her customers. Candy’s response was, “don’t tell me how to be a manager. You can leave. Bye. Get a life.” I have always been told never to argue with ignorant people so I just walked out as she requested, and will never return to this establishment here nor any other Dollar General. I had been a customer for many years and will now take my life, I mean, business elsewhere.

I went to this Dollar General this weekend. I was not happy there. The store could only be best described as a sty!!! I have never seen such disarray and utter chaos in a store before. Hard to get around boxes which were everywhere, unorganized shelves, junk everywhere. The back stockroom was propped fully open for all to see the mess in there too. Think I’ll be shopping at a different store even though this one is the closest to me.

“Becca” has terrible customer service skills. I witnessed her get irritated and basically shout an older gentleman because he didn’t understand her. Shaking her head and scoffing the entire time he was trying to checkout. He walked away embarrassed. Absolutely traumatic experience for him, and I. This is not the first time I’ve seen her get cocky and condescending to a customer. All of the employees look like they’re on something and/or have no personality other than being harsh and cocky. The only thing going for this store is the fact that usually the shelves are decently stocked. Everytime is a terrible experience with their employees though. I hate that this is the closest store near me.

Most of the time their shelf's are pretty well stocked up. A few of the cashier's are rude and not very friendly, which is a issue to me. If you're going to work in customer service, then at least act like you care and like your job. I understand we all have our bad days, but not ever day of the week! Other than that, it's my go to store! ?

This is my favorite Dollar General Store of them all! The staff is all around helpful, friendly, and the store is kept tidy and organized always. Highly recommend and have no bad things to say or any reason I wouldn't recommend going to this DG over any other!!

Wouldn't even answer my question because she had a long line while laughing. She said they only had two people on shift and wouldn't do anything to help me. I won't be going there to help with that issue.
