Firehouse was able to find a way to treat my stressed and scared puppy without traumatizing him. The staff is very friendly and kind as well. I will keep coming back for sure.

My dog and I love Firehouse! I've referred several friends and all of them have nothing but positive things to say! I love their fear-free approach to veterinary care as it shows how much they care about not just the physical health of our furry family members but also their emotional health. They are the best! Highly recommend. And my dog specifically recommends the pup cups. :)

Dr. Mendoza is amazing!! I have a nervous cat and Dr. Mendoza has a very calming touch with her. She seems to genuinely care for her patients and has taken the time to make excellent recommendations for treatments that don't involve trying to shove a pill down a cat's throat (NEVER easy!).

I’m puzzled by the 4.8-star rating for Firehouse Animal Hospital because my experience was quite frustrating.
My dog had a 7 cm open wound that required stitches. Although the doctor had good bedside manner, I questioned their commitment to my dog's care. I later discovered that Firehouse Animal Hospital is owned by a venture capital firm, which prioritizes profit over animal welfare.
The doctor recommended full anesthesia for the wound, which seemed excessive given that the damage was superficial and didn’t involve muscle. After agreeing to this, I consulted other professionals who suggested that sedation would have been more appropriate.
The initial stitches appeared loose, but I deferred to the professional judgment. Within two days, the stitches came undone, and the wound reopened. When I returned to the hospital at 7:30 a.m. for a follow-up, the front desk staff told me to go home and wait for the doctor to call, claiming no one was available. After requesting a partial refund and deciding to take my dog to another hospital, the doctor suddenly became available.
On the second visit, they used staples and stitches to repair the wound again. This procedure, which took only 5 minutes, was done well, but I was upset that my dog had to endure this painful experience twice.
Additionally, the front desk staff incorrectly assumed my dog had been licking the stitches, despite the fact that my dog was confined and wearing a cone.
My friend has the similar experience with much less of the cost. I won't be complaining about the cost if I had an excellent experience. My main problem is how this place prioritize profit over animal's health.

We took our healthy pup ( Aussiedoodle). In two months, we have soent more than 750 dollars. My neighbors say they have spent pnky 220 dollars for their pup in three months. The vet told that his testicle dropped and next visit she said she mistook it for a bone and it has not yet dropped! During my first visit, they gave us a wine bottle! Who wants a wine bottle from a pet. We want a qualified vet, and reasonable charges!

The staff and Dr. Bryant are the best! Came in for all my dogs normal shots and checkup, then 3 weeks later, I came back to get staples out and everyone was fantastic!

I have known Dr. Mendoza for many years. When I heard she was moving to the Firehouse in Leander it made my day. The staff is wonderful. Thank you for all that you do for Fudge, Hendrix and Rita and my grandson Pico.

Dr. Bryant is absolutely amazing. My 14 year old cat has jumped from vet to vet all her life until we found Dr. Bryant a year or 2 ago. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. She diagnosed my cat on the first visit with her after a handful of visits with other vets. She manages my cat’s chronic conditions perfectly. Goes above and beyond. Highly recommended!!

Great first vet experience with our puppy. Everyone we encountered were so friendly and sweet to our Neptune. The tech and Dr. were so gentle with him and made him feel very comfortable. Very knowledgeable with any questions I had and we all walked out happy. Glad we chose Firehouse!
