Edit: Rooms are nice & roomy. Lobby is warm & inviting with reading nooks. Only a few restaurants & stores nearby. It was a very bad idea to have a hotel next to a place that has outdoor live music (Hautespot)! Couldn't sleep until around 11:30pm! This was not cool...very disappointing!

I inspect hotels for insurance companies. I am picky on where I stay. In 10 years, this is the first time I woke up to roaches in my room. That is unsanitary and they sell and serve food. I expected more from a hotel with good ratings. Management said sorry, but offered no other compensation.

If you’ve got Hyatt status, go somewhere else. The least friendly, least accommodating and least knowledgeable Hyatt location I’ve been to and I’ve been to every single Hyatt in Austin (not an exaggeration). Also gave me a room that smelled like smoke then the wrong room 2x till I just didn’t wanna ask for a new room and settled. Location was the only thing that made it not a 1 star

Service was so good, the front desk were so helpful and welcoming. You get 2 water bottles per day per room.
The rooms are spacious with a desk, small fridge, dresser/wardrobe in each with a pull out couch. The walls are very thin, though. I could hear next door and above me very easily, not details of the conversations but could hear regular volume talking.
The handicap room had a standard tub with grab bars in the tub and by the toilet. I wouldve liked to see a doorstop available or hinge on the main door to stay open for better wheelchair accessibility.
The breakfast is pretty good with skillet potatoes, real eggs, frittata, waffles, fruit, etc. The coffee was decent. The oatmeal though was sooo water every day. And the bagels were so bad haha
Good location with stores like target/shops within walkable distance.
Sales team for events/room blocks was a bit difficult to work with and the website interface for the group discount code was very buggy - be warned there. Otherwise, would recommend.

Rooms were big and roomy nice and clean. Location was perfect right across the street from the H-E-B center where we had gone for an event.

Be aware that there is a bar across the street that plays music very loud, making it difficult to sleep. Service was poor.

We booked a queen suite directly with Hyatt. We got in after a very long day of travel and student outdoor UIL activities to turn the ac on and grab dinner. It was warm in the room. When we got back it was still warm in the room. The ac was frozen. When we asked to move rooms to a working AC they only had a king available. My kids who we booked the room for ended up sharing a pull out sofa bed that sunk down in the middle. The room we were moved into had a bathroom door that could barely be opened once you are close in. And the tv turned on but there was no signal on any channel. So it was not a great experience. The staff was kind but the hotel was not a great experience.

The hotel next door to this one cancelled our reservation without notice after driving 13 hours to get there.
Thankfully, Hyatt Place had a space for us for the evening. The room was comfortable and the process getting in was quick and efficient.
The front desk person Esmè was helpful in sympathizing with us over the cancelation of the nearby hotel, and also gave us a number to call with the booking website that got me a real life person to speak with. Would stay here again based strictly on customer service.

Our favorite stay on our roadtrip! It's in a great location close to lots of shopping and dining. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean. Our favorite was the breakfast every morning. Ba with the kitchen staff gives her own personalized touch to a dish each morning she works. On Monday she made some delicious meatballs, some days she makes an egg scramble with sausage, peppers, onion and chickpeas. We looked forward to seeing what Ba made every morning. The hotel is also right across the street from a concert venue and we ended up running into the Oak Ridge Boys on our last day in the lobby! So fun! Thank you, Hyatt Place Cedar Park for having our family for the week and your delish breakfast.

I have been impressed with the friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and affordability. So each time my company sends me to Austin, I always stay at this location. It’s a 15min drive to downtown but away from all the downtown craziness. Most of all the chef whose name is Ba, who runs the restaurant kitchen, really cares about the quality of her food and has a warm, friendly motherly caring disposition to towards her “customers”, as if this was her own restaurant. She made me feel at home, helped me feel like I was gettin’ good ol’ home cooking while at the Hyatt. Her vegetable quiche is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried many. So her breakfast every morning, was a wonderful jumpstart for my day. She is a commendable asset to this Hyatt location. 10 stars for her
