After reading reviews I scheduled color with Amber and crossed my fingers. I’d not had color in a couple years, had a bad haircut and plenty of gray.
I left feeling like a new person! Amber is a talented young lady, her coloring and styling skills are unmatched and I have MANY YEARS of experience on the receiving end. I’ll definitely be scheduling with Amber again, you should, too!❤️

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I'm from Dallas and was visiting Austin for a friend's engagement. I booked a hydrafacial for 2 PM, but when the service started, one of their tools wasn't working -- something they clearly failed to check beforehand. Since my face was already cleaned and I couldn't get another appointment that day (the event was the next morning), I was left with no choice but to switch to their "signature facial," which was done manually. Let's be honest -- manual facials can't match the effectiveness of machine-based ones, and the results reflected that. To make things worse, the staff -- including the manager -- showed no accountability. No apology, no discount, nothing. I was charged the full price for a service I didn't even originally book due to their equipment failure. That's just unacceptable. As if that wasn't enough, I also accidentally left my chain at the salon. I called when they reopened, but no proper update was given. I even sent a friend in person and was told they didn't find anything. And then they dont want to talk to me in a call, then i told my friend to ask for a refund they said we are done we cant help you with refund or anything. Again, no courtesy or sense of responsibility. Overall, I felt disrespected and extremely dissatisfied with both the service and customer care. I do not recommend this place -- especially if you value professionalism and basic courtesy.

Love love love this Salon! They paired me with Ava since I requested someone who specializes in cutting curly hair. Ava reached out to me personally to get an idea of what I was wanting, and she truly went above and beyond the expectations. It was my first time here, which every lady knows it’s scary going to a new salon for the first time. But I was immediately rest assured that Ava and her team knew exactly what they were doing. All the stylists seemed lovely from my first impression. But Ava is definitely my go-to stylist now. My 3.5 hour appointment with her was a breeze. It felt like I was talking to my sister or best friend the whole time. She was so kind and so personable with me. And I of course loved my hair. I gave her a concept of what I wanted and she made it work for my skin tone and face shape. She made me a beautiful blonde again. So happy with Hive Salon!!

Love my haircut from Mariana! I have long, thick hair that is coarse and half wavy/ half straight. It is incredibly difficult to find a hairstylist who understands this hair type and Mariana took her time with my hair today and made sure that it was cut exactly the way I was looking for. So impressed! I’ll be back for sure. ? Mariana says she has a similar hair type herself so she totally gets it!

I had The most amazing experience today with Gretchen. I was actually a little depressed when I walked in there. I had hand injuries and I was unable to wash my hair or colour it myself and Gretchen was so sweet and made me feel incredible and did an amazing job on my hair and the color is beautiful!
The salon has a super cool vibe and it’s so cute. I loved it there and I am definitely going back. Gretchen was fabulous! I have curly hair and she has knowledge about curls. Thank you so much!

Taylor was amazing I haven’t cut my hair in 2 years and haven’t been in a salon in 3 years!! She made me feel so welcomed and I trusted her the moment she started asking about my hair! Best experience with Taylor and will for sure be going back!!!!!! The other stylist were so sweet too ask if I wanted anything to drink every time I moved around!! 10/10 and will definitely be recommending!!!!! THANKS TAYLOR YOUR AWESOME!!!!❤️

I had to take the time to write this review because of my experience. I went to The Hive Salon today for the first time. Gretchen was amazing! I went in with in crazy frizzy hair and came out with smooth sleek hair. She did a hair treatment that made my hair shiny and healthy. She also gave me great tips to improve the health of my hair. I appreciate her knowledge and honesty. She helped me with a plan for my next appt to cover the gray but protect the health of my hair. Every time I look in the mirror I'm just in love with my hair and I never say that! If she can make this 47 year old gray wiry processed hair look like this, then you have my business!

Gretchen De Los Santos at the Hive Salon Leander is a naturally talented and gifted stylist. She was so patient and took time to explain the different options for my hair type and how best to care for it. She is by far one of the best I've ever had. I don't think I would use anyone else now that I know how great my hair can look and feel. And along with that she is a genuinely kind person and you can just feel that when you talk to her. The Salon itself is well run, cozy and bustling place with a fun ambience.

I saw Eva and she did an amazing job! I have gotten my hair done before and she by far is the best! She took her time and was very attentive. She did exactly what I wanted and more. I left so happy and will for sure be back! My hair looked great then and now that it's been months since having it done. I have never had my hair fade so nicely either. Can't recommend her enough!

Ava has made Hive my new salon home. I went to someone who became one of my best friends and my stylist soul mate for almost 20 years. When she moved away I thought I would never find someone who could color my hair as well. Ava listened and the results were EXACTLY as I had wanted and asked for. She is professional, has great attention to detail, and lovely inside and out. I'm so happy to have found her!
