I got stuck on the road 2.5 hours away from home with a transmission that decided to go out. Joe was extremely nice and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to do, but he took great care of me. He is an extremely kind and helpful man. I appreciate what he did for me!

Highly recommend! I had my Cadillac in multiple Cadillac dealerships for 9 months. They continued to tell me I was crazy and the problem I was reporting was normal for a turbo engine. I knew it wasn't right because I never had these issues before. I brought my car to Joe and he found the issue and fixed it right away!! I've had absolutely no problems since leaving his shop a couple months ago. I'm overly pleased that he was able to confirm there was actually something wrong. I will be coming to Joe's car care for the rest of my car repair needs no matter the vehicle! Thank you Joe and his team! Y'all did amazing and I appreciate you so much!

Joe Reid is a danger to any and all clients that may go there as I have been personal witness to.Was mechanic at Joe's in Garland TX and he will deliberately ignore his mechanics recommendations for very serious, even life threatening repairs on clients vehicles and if mechanic tries to show Joe the repairs needed joe will intentionally ignore and develop this "tunnel vision" and just walk by without addressing the technicians concerns for the safety of the client.He has proclaimed himself verbally to his employees to be God in his shop and will make any and all decisions on repairs to be made period.Have kept up with a few of his reviews over the years and it reveals that he is still the same and same business practices.A lot of customers have car trouble after leaving his shop and his excuses are parts failed after leaving or didn't see it nor come in for that.If you challenge or question his work he will get belligerent with you and possibly physical.Another personal "secret" of his he disclosed to employees is that when he worked as waiter he was party to serving contaminated food to patrons if they pissed off the staff or thought they weren't getting a tip. This includes dandruff as extra spices, rubbing foods in personal areas of their bodies, on the floor, pretty much whatever disgusting idea they could come up with.Early 2000's he wasn't ase, don't know about now, may still be a fraud.

I was traveling through and my alternator went out. I trusted them to fix it and when I picked up my car they charged me $895 for a alternator. When I got home I found out I could get the repair done here for less than $300. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was a female.Service: Engine repair

Joe saved me over $500 on a repair another company have given me. He found nothing wrong and didn't charge me to check it out. He has always been very professional and pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good car guy.

Horrible service, incompetent and rude! Forgets vital customer information! The list goes on and on! Seek a mechanic shop in McKinney not in Leonard!!! Will never use this clown show again!!

I have used this shop for my little car. This is the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic and i love how I can trust them. They have serviced my car by replacing spark plugs, coil packs, suspension, and just today, they replaced my transmission. This is a trustworthy business and they will have my business for the life of my car :) ( which apparently will be around 400k miles because they can keep fixing everything for me)

Went in and had what I believed was a great conversation about doing some repair and maintenance work on a vehicle I had recently acquired.Joe took my info - and promised to call me with an estimate for the work I had asked for.He never called back.So I called him back a week later and he stated that he gets so many requests like this that he gave it no mind.I was willing to give this local shop an opportunity to earn my business but I get the impression that he isn't that interested in something like that.We were talking about several thousand dollars - seriously.When you look up Joe's Car Care on FB it goes to what appears to be a personal page filled with political posts, opinions and meme about politics.I wasn't offended by the content mind you - but there was not much about the business as much as his political bias.I'll keep looking for a quality shop that can do the work I require even if I have to drive an hour to get there.But the impression I received was that Joe wasn't interested in doing business much.I mean - who turns down $2K as a first time customer with the possibility of at least twice that again over a year of service?Joe does.It has been my experience that if a shop doesn't call you back on an initial estimate for service - that is a very good indicator of how you will be treated as a customer.Call it what you will - but I wasn't pleased with the customer experience I received.I was actually expecting much more from this establishment.Que Será

Joe has saved me so much money over the years. I appreciate him always being fair with my family and explaining options to me. Most of the time I just tell him to do whatever he'd do with his own car. He's earned that kind of trust. He's a great mechanic and I'm glad to also call him my friend since I've moved out here.

I was searching for a reliable mechanic and came across several people recommending Joe on Nextdoor. I reached out and he got me in that week. I’ve since used him 2 more times, and he is pleasant, honest, and affordable. It’s tough to find someone out there you can trust(especially as a female not knowing much about cars), and I’m so grateful I came across his shop. Most recently I was having trouble with my AC, and he really went the extra mile to get it fixed and get me back on the road. I used Joe when he was in Garland many years ago. So when my husband needed a professionals help with his truck I googled to find him and so glad I did. He is still as awesome as I remember.
