This is our 2nd pool, and we used Mirage and could not be more satisfied with the workmanship. Tom and his crew did a fabulous job and kept us informed the whole way. Would HIGHLY recommend Mirage and will use them for our next pool and landscape needs!!

Very knowledgeable and helpful group of experts, Mirage Custom Pools is not a new company like some of the others around who just dig a hole in the ground then stand around and look at it for 6 months.

We just finished building a pool with Mirage. Overall we are very happy with the experience. Mason our project manager did a great job of communicating throughout the project and being onsite to answer any questions.

We had a complicated, multi-elevation project. Mirage pools management worked with the permitting office through numerous problems to bring our old pools up to code. In the end, we had a beautifully updated and safe pools that our residents were impressed with. I appreciated their patient determination to see the project through.

We had a great experience working with Mirage. During the design process, Jeff worked with us on a great design staying conscious of our budget and how to best utilize our space.Mason, our project manager, had great communication throughout the process and was frequently present onsite through construction ensuring everything was done correctly and to plan. The pool was completed quickly and we were more than satisfied with the work performed. After our project completed, the team has remained responsive to any questions we've had. If we were building another pool, we would go with Mirage again.

I, and many friends of mine, have worked with Mirage and its owner Tom Hauk on several pool projects. My experience in working with Tom Hauk directly and his staff has been very satisfying. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. He does not exaggerate or make promises he and his team can't keep. His design person helped me build on an idea to bring to fruition a beautiful backyard oasis. Two years ago during the time when we experienced a freeze in N. Dallas, Tom called me to check on my pool to see how it was holding up. When I told him it had frozen to where the freeze guard was barely dripping, he immediately instructed me step by step on how to winterized my pool equipment by draining all my pumps and heater. He stayed on the phone with me until I completed the task which took all of 15 minutes. Once the freeze was over, Tom again called instructing me on how to start my equipment back up. It was because of Tom's CARE calls that I avoided potentially costly equipment damage like so many others did. This is what I call going above and beyond what is expected.

The only reason I am giving this two stars is because the pool does look good now that it is finally finished and I was happy that our project manager, Mason, tried his best to fix all issues and get the job completed, but he inherited a mess and was fighting an uphill battle. That is where the positive ends. If I had it to do all over again, I would have voided our contract and gone with another company after our salesperson failed to show up for a second meeting, due to the fact that he slept through them both times. We tried really hard to make sure this project was seamless and organized and went off on time without any pricing surprises or material delays. Before signing the final materials list and contract We asked to meet with subcontractors because there were a lot of moving parts in this project and we wanted to make sure we had accurate pricing so we knew what our budget was and the original salesperson scheduled these meetings, revised our materials list and pricing and told us that all items are quoted and accounted for in our budget. I have worked in commercial real estate before and was trying to avoid any delays so I asked to not break ground until it was confirmed that all our materials were in stock and we were ready to proceed. I was even willing to have them stored in my yard. I myself checked with the paver and coping supplier and told Mirage that our pavers and coping had a three-week lead time. I was assured by our salesperson at the time we broke ground that everything was ready to go only to later find out no one from Mirage bothered to place the order and they went ahead and broke ground to only tell us that we were then delayed because of the three week lead time that we had already told them about. It was at this point we asked for the salesperson to be removed from our project and to have a meeting with the owner, Tom, and the project manager, Mason. In this meeting, Tom assured us he was going to go through our contract that week and make sure we were good to go on every item. This never happened because when we got to certain parts of the job Tom kept telling us he did not see it in the budget…… Yes, the same budget for which we had met with all the subs and gotten all accurate pricing and materials listed and it was at this point, halfway through the project, that we were notified that our salesperson did not in fact get quotes he simply made up numbers. It was now obvious that Tom had not gone through our contract as he said he would. I had a signed contract and materials list that said these items were included and we had emails and text messages from the salesperson saying that we were good to go and he had gotten quotes and accounted for everything and yet Mirage refused to honor those items. There were many times throughout this project that it was obvious that Mirage did not even have the correct copy of the contract that they wrote and signed. I had to continuously send them what was in the contract that they made and I was continuously correcting them on things. An 8-10 week project took 6 months and they did not even complete all the items from the scope as I hired my own contractor to complete some of the tasks. My advice is to find another company or if you go with this one make sure they sign something saying that all prices are accurate for each item and you will only be charged for changes made via change orders.

Mirage did a fantastic job designing and building my pool. I have a rectangle pool with diving board, spa and electric cover. Its beautiful and the process went smooth and as planned. Mason (my project manager) was easily accessible and quick to respond for all my questions and request. I would highly recommend Mirage.

Mirage built our pool in 2016. Everything still works great and we still get compliments from friends and neighbors that its one of the best looking pools they've seen. Now using Mirage for a pool remodel for my parents home. Good company run by good people.

My wife and I were worried about the outcome the 'dream pool' that we had contracted and whether or not it would complement our beautiful home. The process was lengthy and challenging but ultimately Mirage Pool built us our dream pool that beautifully complements our home. Jeff Hauk designed our pool and patiently listened to our wants and needs. I am grateful that the 'plan' ended up exactly as we dreamed of in our back yard. I want to specifically complement Jason Lampe, the site construction supervisor, who patiently managed the entire project through the 'covid' mess and the 'winter to end all winters'. Jason is a hard working man who told me truth even though I didn't want to necessarily hear it. I have held off on writing this review until the two remaining punch list items were taken care of. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the pool despite some challenging moments. Thank you Jason (and Jeff) for the beautiful pool.Services: General construction

We finished our pool a few months ago and love it! We had a challenging backyard and Tyler designed us a pool and patio that turned our small yard into a beautiful, functional, relaxing space! Patrick, our project manager, was friendly and responsive and patient with our million questions. It was clear he was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the pool building process which put our minds at ease. Even with rain and Covid-19 challenges, the communication lines were always open and we always knew what to expect. They have been very responsive to any questions after completion as well! This was an overall great experience, and we could not be happier with the final product. Thank you, Mirage team!

Quick update. Was told the by owner Tom to have an engineer come out and write report to see if there was any wrongdoing and if there was they’d take care of it. Once we did that and paid the engineer he back pedaled and said he never said that. The report was sent to them and now they’re stating “speculation “.We will get the pool fixed but stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. They don’t honor their word for anything and after you pay them they basically throw you aside like trash. My wife and I are a young couple so I’m guessing we’re being looked at as being young and dumb. Again STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!And they honestly had the audacity to ask me to remove this review.. what a joke.We went with mirage because before we put the pen to the paper they were the only company to get back with us on a design and price. Things were going well. They finished the pool in sept of 2022 so 6 months ago and now we can’t get them to respond to us about what is going on with our issues we are having. Cracked tiles around the pool, not holding water, caulking around the pool coming up. Just a terrible customer experience now that we paid then cash for the pool they want nothing to do with us. Being a sales manager myself this is not how I train my staff.Services: Inground pool installation
