Jess is amazing. I was randomly mentioning my needs for a product and she (without asked) immediately checked the ingredients and safety. That made my day. I appreciated that very much. Prime example of going above and Jessica you are amazing. , You had the animal bets interest at heart. That is not always seen within the pet store field by some employees. Thx for making my first shopping experience a reminder to return.

Great place to adopt cats. The Cat Lady is very knowledgeable and nice. She is there every week to tend to the cats and even adds more cats for adoption. They go fast.

This post is to recognize Marie and Blaine and how they went above and beyond for me and my dog. Even though my 15-year-old dog was given options they weren't guaranteed and his quality of life wouldn't have been what I wanted it to be or what it used to be . And I just didn't want him to be uncomfortable or in any pain at all. So I did one of the hardest things I've ever done and that was choosing to let him cross the rainbow bridge. I'm sorry for rambling on but please please know that Marie and the veterinarian I believe her name was Blaine we're so absolutely accommodating and they were so kind so very kind so thank you all so much for everything that y'all did for us.

I want to start this comment by saying that the 2 other times I have been to this petco vet I had no issues and they were extremely sweet and helpful.
TLDR: This time however was different, and I will not be returning because of a tech named Maria at this location. I was judged and made to feel like a bad pet parent because I asked for a cheaper solution if there was an option.
My cats had health issues I was not made aware of when I adopted them (at the same time), and I am now dealing with the vet visits to help. I have already spent close to $2000 in total last year on trying to help them but the upper respiratory infection came back again. I called the office to ask if they could send something in to help or if I need to come in for another visit. I expressed that I can’t really afford to bring them both in right now so if there is something that can be done over the phone, it would be very helpful.
This is when Maria began to make it obvious she was judging me and got a very rude attitude. It’s really not worth explaining myself and I don’t want to give her the attention but I was made to feel like I was neglecting my pets, and blamed for not “being proactive” despite the explanation I gave her 3 times. I just wish that she and other vet staff would take the time to consider other people’s lives. We adopt pets with best of interests but financial hardships happen and it isn’t helpful to dog on a pet owner for expressing their needs. Maria, please do better and don’t ever make another pet owner feel the way I did.

I bought several cans of the Merrick canned puppy food (chicken and beef) less then a month ago. Today I realized that all the chicken cans expired AUGUST 2024. I am extremely disappointed and thankful my puppy didn't eat his food this morning. Please check your shelves before selling expired products.

Until today I have never been denied buying feeder insects for my reptiles for being under 18. I buy crickets often for my animals and pay for them myself and it's never been an issue. Today when i at the register to buy crickets that another worker had bagged for me when the cashier asked for my age. I am 17 and because of that she said I was unable to buy crickets. She said I needed to have an adult with me because it's the policy and just like fish, you need an adult. She had to implement it because she was a type of manager. She asked if I was able to get a family member to come and pay but I couldn't since I had driven myself there I was unable to and had to leave without food for my pets. I've bought crickets from this location many times as well as other petcos and pet store and i have never had to be over 18. Crickets are bought as feeders, I understand this for companion animals but crickets are not pets. They are bought to be fed to pets. The official petco website even says that the policy does not include crickets or worms. This genuinely made me upset cause this has never been an issue and I've been buying crickets by myself just fine for years. Being denied food for MY pets for not being 18 is just crazy
