Friendly staff and volunteers. We really liked how informative the folks were. Parking was a bit questionable.

Quite frankly I find it audacious and inappropriate seeing some of the responses from the business and seeing them go off on people who are writing genuine reviews. I just called to ask if I could surrender my guinea pigs, as I want them to go somewhere where they can be cared for, as I no longer am able to. I called and got a short and rude response from a lady, who condescendingly responded “we don’t take public rescues, take them to a public animal shelter” as if I am already supposed to know that. I understand there are rules and regulations, but responding the way this business has at people writing reviews, and passive aggressively saying “take them down”, is controlling and not customer service like at all. Also I see that the people who wrote poor reviews are referring to one person in particular over and over again. To me that is not a coincidence but rather a pattern, that multiple people are complaining about one individual, and her passive aggressively saying responses such as “questionable regards”. How is this okay?

Rude and condescending emails, overcrowded "rescue"

Sweet but overtaxed folks. Ready to help out and pass on information when asked. They could probably use more reliable volunteers in a venture such as this. If you go to ask a question, be sure to reciprocate and throw a few bucks in the box for them. They rescue small animals like the sign says but not dogs.

This place is a well run, caring and effective organization. We adopted two lovely guinea pigs, and they gave us all the info we needed and fabulous care to our new family members!

This place practically helped me raise my girls when I had them, two Lil piggies. Always good for supplies and nail trims, and the volunteers up there are immensely sweet and passionate about their work.

This is a fantastic rescue that prioritizes the health of their animals. Many small animals require more space and specialized food than people know. Texas Rustlers meets these needs and sells products that are safe for your small animals.

They took great care of my guinea pigs while I was on vacation. I whole heartedly support their work.

We had a great experience, with any small rescue we highly recommend going in person for cat adoptions since a lot of cats have a high number of applications. We applied and let them know what we were interested in and they got back to us later when a breed we liked came in. Which we so appreciated. Thank you team!

When I made an application, never got a response. I called back and terrible service through phone call.

They didn’t answer phone calls, and I drove all the way from Dallas to surrender my Guinea pig. My family and I walked inside and were not greeted or asked what we needed or were looking for. After a minute of just standing there in confusion and looking crazy. We were eventually sent over to talk to someone by 1 lady who had a very nasty attitude/vibe. We were told they don’t accept surrenders and would have to take him to animal control, great “rescue”. Lack of communication + hospitality, and very poor customer service. 0 stars if possible.

Not courteous. Care as much about the people who are adopting as you do about the pets. Legitimate questions are not stupid. Would not hold the pet for a few hours.
