I love shopping here and I've had a great experience selling items as well. I think I've figured out better the specific name brands they like. For people like me who need to downsize their clothing selections or just have a closet full of good clothing items that they just don't wear, this is a good option to have. I'm extremely bad about returning things I've ordered or bought so store like this are great for people like me. Very friendly staff. Always nice and courteous

I’ve always heard great things about uptown cheapskate but i don’t understand. They don’t tell you what clothes they take until after you come to pick up and what they did take are IMMEDIATELY put on the floor so you can’t even say no when they low ball you. They also only give you 24 hours to come and pick up your clothes. I unfortunately let the day slip away from me and I picked up my clothes the next day, they had donated them that morning. TWO BOXES FULL OF CLOTHES and i got $35. btw they take your boxes, i used my NICE boxes. what a load of bull shit.

I had such a pleasant learning experience at Uptown Cheapskate in Lewisville. The staff was so very kind and courteous while informing me it's preferable for items being brought to sell, NOT be on hangers 🤭 Lizzie was so gracious to review what I'd brought, pick out a few things and refer me to another location that would possibly be more receptive of the dressy/business casual items I had.
I had a lot of stuff, plus there were offers before and after me, but because she was such an efficient professional, she worked swiftly and keenly.
Lots of goodies available at this location, as I perused the store awaiting the potential offer.
I'd definitely be back!

I didn’t realize you had to wait in order to get your clothes processed and had I known that, I would’ve come by another day. I was running some errands and decided to drop my clothes off here since we were moving that day. After checking in, the older lady told me to look around the store while they went through my things. I spent a little over an hour there as it was busy the day that I went. Again, I was kind of in a rush so I was more focused on where I needed to be next and what I needed to do. When she finally called me up, she offered me $21 dollars (didn’t tell me what she took, just that she took a few things). I took the cash and sprinted off to my next destination. Being in a rush, I didn’t think to ask her what few items were taken out when she said it. After I finally got home and went through the bag, I saw she took a pair of “like new” Michael Kors shoes, a coach wallet on a chain, and a brand new Kate Spade wallet. All three items for $21. I will NEVER go back to Uptown Cheapstake, especially not the location in Lewisville. The wallets alone will sell for more than $21 apiece. Nothing else in the bag was touched and she definitely got over on me. I’d rather just donate my clothes and items in drop boxes and shelters next time than wasting time with them.

Definitely overpriced
Also picky on what they accept because they overprice so they know if the original seller sells for cheaper they will not make their PROFIT.
I rather just donate to charity honestly
The older lady that works at the front honestly is micro aggressive.

Would not recommend. Such a bizarre experience. I have made genuinely thousands of dollars at various uptown cheapskates across Texas the past two years cleaning out my closet. I brought in a bag of like new clothes with brands like free people, aritzia, Veronica beard, Amanda Uprichard etc to this location and they took nothing even though their shelves were full of shein and pilled tjmaxx brands. Don’t waste your time here.

I just took 4 bins in to the Uptown Cheapskate in Lewisville to sell clothes. I was immediately struck when I walked in by how clean and organized the store is. So many of these resale shops are a mess. Not this store! And the ladies were so lovely and kind when I took my clothes in to sell. Of course, you make pennies on the dollar, but that's the way their business works. I was so pleased by the experience and will be back! If you have clothes to sell, give this store a try. Thank you so much.

I sold some of my clothes here not too long ago and they gave me a decent price for them. If you want to sell your clothes to them, make sure you bring your own bag. The store also has trendy clothes on display to purchase. Their hours of operation are abnormal so you have to pay attention on when they are open.
