This review is long overdue, but well deserved! Kiddie Academy of Little Elm has been an exceptional place for early learning since our child started in summer 2023. From the beginning, the preschool has fostered a nurturing, family-like environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.
Dr. Myrna Toote, the franchise owner, has a genuine love for children and education, and that passion is clearly reflected—not only in the curriculum but in the warmth and dedication of the entire staff. Teachers know each child by name and create an engaging, welcoming atmosphere that builds confidence and fosters strong academic skills. Their commitment to kindergarten readiness is truly outstanding, ensuring students develop essential foundational skills, such as reading simple books, recognizing and writing numbers, and preparing for success in elementary school.
A special appreciation goes to our child’s teacher, Ms. Millicant, whose dedication, patience, and words of encouragement made a lasting impact. Her passion for teaching was truly inspiring— We personally witnessed her working with students at various reading levels at the start of the academic year, and by the time of the graduation celebration, every child was reading. Her ability to nurture growth, instill confidence, and celebrate each student’s achievements is remarkable.
Thanks to Dr. Myrna Toote and her staff’s thoughtful approach, our child started kindergarten in August 2025 with confidence, feeling well-prepared for the next stage of their education. In fact, our child's kindergarten teacher even shared positive feedback, noting that they entered school well-prepared and ready to thrive.
The dedication, care, and expertise of this school make it a truly exceptional place for early childhood learning. If you're searching for a preschool that prioritizes both academic and social development, this is the perfect choice! Highly recommended!

My son, Noah, attended Kiddie Academy from 11 months old until recently (he's 4 now!). I absolutely loved our time here. Dr. Myrna was always communicative and greeted us with a smile and positive attitude. All staff was genuine, kind and truly cared for my boy.
My son was accepted at the districts Pre-k program, which is why we parted ways with KALE, but the feedback from his current teacher has been amazing. KALE prepared him for the next stages of his journey academically and socially.
Throughout the years, I trusted them entirely with his care and will be happy to enroll my youngest one in the next several months.
Thank you, KALE! <3

My son went to Kiddie Academy of Little Elm since he was 7 months old until he was 3.5 yo and had a great time. The teachers and the curriculum is great for kids to socialize, learn and thrive in. The center director Dr Myrna is great to work with. They have really understanding staff across different classrooms that works with kids based on their speed and needs and do not push them for anything. Highly recommend this school.

We love Kiddie Academy. My son just finished here and is on his way to Kindergarten. He can read and do basic arithmetic. He knows colors, numbers, etc in Spanish too!
Not only that, I can tell that the teachers really care. My older child went to another daycare in Little Elm that didn’t teach him much so Kiddie Academy has been a breath of fresh air.
My son has a food allergy and they took great care of him. No issues. He has doctor appointments every Friday which requires restrictions and they followed the plan with no problems.
Very thankful for their care and attention. I would recommend them to anyone.

My son went to this day care for almost 2 years, he was very well taken care of by the staff. He was provided with many opportunities to learn and play, this facility has a huge playground and the classrooms are well ventilated. We were happy with my son’s progress and enrolled our daughter also. She loves going to school and is learning a lot. She likes all the teachers there as they are attentive and caring. Dr. Myrna and all other office staff are always pleasant and friendly, they are ready to answer any questions or concerns we have. We absolutely love kiddie academy of Little elm and highly recommend to anyone who are looking for quality care. Thank you KALE for being part of my kids childhood and providing them great care and early education.

My kid had a blast at this day care! The staff here is awesome and super caring. They made sure my 4-year-old felt right at home and gave her loads of fun activities. The place is clean and well-kept, and I always knew my child was in good hands. The best part? They kept me in the loop about my kid's day. We're so happy with this day care, and I'd totally recommend it to any parent!

We are very pleased with the learning and care given here. My granddaughter does not want to miss a day. As they solidify an ever evolving staff what remains is their commitment to excellence. I love how my baby girl is greeted by name in her coming and going. The afternoon teacher noticed she wasn't eating the snacks provided . She encouraged us to bring something she liked. This attention to an individual child's needs spoke volumes to me.

Love the staff and the owners are top notch. The communication is excellent. The homemade meals are a big plus. I love seeing the daily report showing that my daughter ate all of her food and she loves Mrs. B vegetables!!!

Best place hands down! I have two littles who attend and they have blown my expectations out of the park. They have learned so much and the care and the love they provide is priceless.

I decided to pull my daughter out of daycare after my horrible experience with kiddie academy. My mom picked my daughter up from their facility while I was working late one evening and they did not check my moms ID or make sure my mother was authorized for pick up. Beyond that my daughters clothes would be soaking wet every time I would pick her up with no explanation. Every time I would pop in to watch the cameras the young teenage class room attendants would never interact with the children nor would they ever actually do any of the educational activities they advertise. The tipping point for me was the time I picked up my daughter and she was running a high fever and literally shaking from being so cold and they neglected to call me or notify me that my daughter was sick and not feeling well. Since quitting it has only gotten worse they continue to charge me after nearly three weeks of leaving the KALE facility. I would highly recommend that you save your self the trouble and find an actual day care that is ran professionally.

I'm so impressed with how advanced the curriculum is. My son just turned 5 and learned so much like colors and basic greetings in Spanish, Geography, Science, all his 3D shapes, is reading, and just has great manners. He often surprises me with random facts like "we live on Earth"; "the American flag has 50 stars"; and count by 1's, 2's, 3's, 5's, 9's, and 10's ... who knows the "9s family without some serious thought?? Not me

My little ones went to KALE for a few months. The turnover was high (yes, everyone is dealing with stress and pressure during COVID) and the communication was inadequate. I interviewed lots of child care centers prior to settling with KALE. The director I met a month before was not the same when my kids started. When they got a new teacher for my kid's class, they did not inform the parents. Luckily, I paid additional ($40/month) for the cameras so I questioned my kiddo about the new teacher. Other parents had no idea for at least a month. There were 22 kids crammed into a room with one teacher and a floating teacher sometimes. As for the cameras, they did not charge monthly. They deducted the total from the refundable deposit. With the constant changes, organization is not a priority. I asked the director two weeks prior to Christmas what the plan was and she said she is just thinking about the next day. Yikes! One of my kiddos was not acclimating well to the new environment and she couldn't get any attention from the teacher since the teacher was wrangling almost 20 kids. My kid was usually alone and I didn't see the teacher trying to engage or encourage her to join the rest of the class. I pick up my little one at the same time every day right before nap time. Sometimes, they would have the kids wait by the door for over 30 minutes in the dark. Speaking of doors, they do not have conventional closed doors. All doors are short so you can hear everything going on in other classes. Onto the neutral/plus side, the school had some potential. The meals were on par with other places, the curriculum was admirably challenging, and they tried to set up events on Sundays but they were usually low turnouts. I wish the school all the best but I can't recommend it to my fellow parent friends and their kids.

We loved Kiddie Academy! Our son attended Pre-K at Kiddie Academy in Little Elm and had a wonderful experience. He typically doesn’t do well with change, but Dr. Myrna and staff welcomed him with open arms making the transition a breeze. He had a wonderful year making new friends, learning a lot (loved their Spanish program), and getting ready for kindergarten. We were very impressed with the health safety protocols that were followed at the school to keep all our littles safe. The whole team at Kiddie Academy was amazing & we can’t wait to see them for summer camp next year!
