Best BBQ I have ever eaten? It's definitely top 3. And I have eaten BBQ in nearly every state in America. The turkey with the freshly zested lime was OMG. The brisket is prepared in true Texas style. This is next level food prepared by a master.

This place is special! In my top 5 bbq restaurants for sure!Came here for my birthday trip and was able to try a little bit everything! (Except the beef rib)Lamp chops melted like butter, perfect flavor!Pork ribs were amazing and tender! Zested with lime after being cut on the line!Juicy brisket very flavorful.Turkey was great, and super moist! You see so much juice left om the tray after eating the turkey and brisket!Fajita sausage had the snap in the bite and were sized sausage!Special was pork stew which we all devoured, corn, rice, pork celery etc. So good. And don't let the deserts fool you! They a fantastic! Also can I just say that everyone behind the counter made the experience so much fun and was all smiles the whole time!

Wow wow wow!! Really delicious and unique bbq. We got there early to stand in line and it was worth it. We took it to go and had the tray for two. The ladies at the front took such care packaging our order, talking to us and the food is just so good. Meat was juicy (even the turkey), poblano spaghetti ('spaghett!) amazing, I'd put the sauce on anything. We'll be back. Highly recommend!!

ARE YOU VISITING AUSTIN OR NEIGHBORING TOWNS FOR THE BEST BBQ AND BEEF BRISKET?Look no more! I am visiting from LA and I was contemplating to either waiting for 2+ hours at the Franklin’s bbq or take a leap of faith and try out this relatively new BBQ spot in this quaint little town…And, OH BOY, we made the right decision (friend from Austin). The place is about a year old but the high-caliber quality has no correlation with the quantity of this establishment. Indeed, they were featured on NYT shortly after their opening, and their ongoing media appearances, also speak volume to this fact. The two-people team is quite small but their professionalism, servitude, and obvious expertise in their craft really made this an amazing experience.LA is a Mecca of fine dining and great cuisine, but the beef brisket and bbq departments are still lacking and I will be dreaming about this place and their beef brisket, pork ribs, and spaghettis (yes, a must get) for months to go.They are only open 4 hours from 11am - 3pm on Saturday and Sundays, and they SELL OUT within an hour of opening (we got here around 12pm and got the last batch of the briskets).11/10 MUST RECOMMEND (it’s so good that it broke physics and mathematics)

One of the top BBQ places I’ve been to in the past year. Loved the ribs, brisket and green spaghetti!

We preordered and the ladies working it were so lovely and friendly and the food is so good. They're also from South Texas which we love. The cinnamon bread actually works so well with the brisket and their turkey also hits. We got a little of almost everything and nothing disappointed. Will return!!

Brisket was ok. Sauce was similar to Salt Lick. Service was slow, too much talking. Try it yourself. I think Black's is better. Also very pricey.

Came here expecting a 9/10 experience, and I'm not sure if we came on an off day or what, but this was honestly probably the worst bbq I've had in my life. Spent $103 for 2 people(way too much), and had tough lean brisket, bland beef rib, the pork rib was better but nothing crazy, the sausage was good--all of our meats were pretty bland. Sides--pasta and slaw were just ok. Only one BBQ sauce which was odd to us. Music playing inside was terrible--and I'm a fan of house/edm/electronic. People sitting next to us thought the same. Can get much better BBQ in Austin for $50-60 for two.Would not entertain coming back at this price point for what we were served, sorry.

I absolutely love everything about this place! Loved talking to women who run the show and the love they have for their craft! Don't forget to grab some of the pineapple upside down cobbler!

Best tray of BBQ I’ve had in a long time. Had some fatty and lean brisket, both were exactly what you want in brisket. Extremely juicy and flavorful turkey with a great herb rub. Glaze on the ribs is excellent and the freshly microplaned lime zest on them is ? ?. The fajita sausage is a sizzling trip to Pappasitos in tube form. And the green poblano cream spaghetti and concha bread pudding are my favorite BBQ side/dessert I can recall ever having. Top all that off with super friendly staff - Barbs B Q is top notch.

An absolute gem in BBQ! Unfortunately I went in the afternoon when all they had left was chopped brisket sandwiches, slaw and the beans. But it was amazing! You can tell there's lot of thought and time given to the food at this restaurant. I highly recommend.

Super nice staff and food was delicious. But prices are a little high and it's a tiny place with a long line and limited hours.

Absolutely fantastic and original. Ribs are luscious and flavorful with lime peel zest grated over the top. The green spaghet is sooo creamy good. Everything here is great, I wish the lamb didn't sell out so quick because I've wanted to try it all year! Don't miss this spot, it's a Lockhart must

This is definitively the best BBQ in Lockhart. Great technique matched with fresh and unique sides. The overall consensus was Barbs is a vibe. This place is as awesome as it is delicious. Definitely gotta be a top 50 soon.Albeit a little blasphemous in TX BBQ but I must report vegetarians welcome here too.
