This gallery sits in a prime location on Lockhart Square with ample parking on the street or the surrounding blocks. If you didn't know, they refresh the exhibition every First Friday of the month, so if you want to go opening night when things are poppin', that's the time to do it. I've only been during the daytime on random weekends and it's been a great experience, too. No crowds or folks chatting around you. Just you and the art, or your friends discussing the smaller nuances in the pieces.I've been in twice now, and the person who works at the desk is really friendly and chill. Aside from the exhibitions in the main room, they have a back area where more artwork is stored and allow you to poke around and check that out, too. They also feature artists based in Texas or those who have ties to TX or western/southwestern imagery in their pieces. So next time you're in Lockhart for some BBQ, take a moment to walk it off around the square and pop in here to check out some rad contemporary art.
