What a treat this place is. I found myself stuck with a broken down bus in Central Texas, down my Martindale. I was on the hunt on my only day off to find either a parlor guitar or a ukulele I wouldn't mind truckin' along in this wild Texas weather. After a shuffle through San Marcos (it was Saturday, so I was limited) I decided to circle over to Cow Bell after making one stop on main St, just to see what they had.Turns out, I should have come here all along. This fun a phunky shop is like the retro homestead you never knew you needed to exist. I expected John Morrison to pop out, and the shop owners, in his retro baseball T and bell bottoms didn't disappoint. This place is owned by some super nice folks and while I am not normally a talker around these parts, I found myself lost in conversation for 30 minutes.Their selection is the perfect size and offers a nice variety for anyone looking for just about anything you need to play some music, plus it has soul. Nothing you pick up from a soulful spot will leave you disappointed.I ended up with a super inexpensive bright orange lackered ukulele for less than $50. Wild!Definitely swing through, musician or not, to shop fun funky vintage treasures and new delights.

My ukulele melted during my trip from CA to Texas. The bridge came off along with some wood and Clay the owner, was able to fix it well and at a great price. I'm happy to have a tenor back in my life!

Had a lot of friends recommend this shop when I needed repairs made on my bass. Reviews were great as well. Showed up at the store right after opening, got rushed right out regardless if I was a potential customer or not. Maybe a great store, went to meet Dr. Jecal, got Mr. Hyde

My new favorite place in a cultured filled town. Clay is a great musician and collector of iconic instruments and memorabilia. There's a seat for players to play in the store enterance . I enjoyed playing my mandolin there . The view of the clock and sound echoe of the buildings was to die for , over the moon with this and Lockhart . Thanks clay for making a great place for musicians and dreamers 2B hummel
