Bricyn is the best if you're looking for someone quick and who won't take advantage of you. He diagnosed the problem within seconds of looking at it. He fixed it in less than 30 minutes. I've had mechanics lie and overcharge. I prayed before looking and am grateful I found this place.

called about getting my a/c freon reclaimed so i can work on a line that cracked had a slow leak they got me in same day and service was quick went back next day and they were able to get my a/c recharged in no time.
now my a/c is blowing colder then when i first brought it in. these guys are awesome

My family and I were on a camping vacation with our travel trailer. As soon as we arrived at the campsite (300 miles from home) the truck engine light came on, and my husband noticed our transmission was having an issue. We knew nothing of the area and relying on prayer, we took our truck to G&E. They were able get our truck in right away, locate the problem- which thankfully wasn’t the transmission, and fix it for a reasonable price. Because of the wonderful people at G&E, we made it home safely with our travel trailer in tow!!! G&E was truly a blessing to our family!!!! Truly knowledgeable honest people!

My truck broke down towing a travel trailer while traveling to Lockhart from the Dallas area. Got it to them the next day and they went out of their way to get parts ordered and repaired. Even offered me a vehicle to be able to drive around in over the weekend while waiting on parts to ship and repairs were being made. To top it off, if repairs weren’t going to be able to be done by the time my trip was over they even offered me a place to store my trailer while I made arrangements to get another truck to tow my trailer back home. The owner and Teresa were wonderful and very hospitable!

Had an alignment at a GM dealer in Bastrop and another small time shop on Chestnut in Bastrop. Dealer left stuff loose and told me to get bent when I called to talk to them about it and the small time shop told me there were all sorts of stuff wrong with the front end and it needed a new steering box; but they tried and let the truck go with a wander and a pull. Absolutely everything under the front end is new MOOG except the steering gear which was a new RedHead & new Michelins. Showed up when they opened and Kevin dove right in. Within 15 minutes we had preliminary readings and he asked if it was wandering and pulling to the right. (Yup) A few quick adjustments and he let me test drive before paying. Truck drives absolutely perfect and better than new with 300,000 on the clock. I'll be taking my other vehicles in the coming weeks for alignments as well with the service and results I got on this one!!

My truck broke down and I had it towed here and they spent an hour on my truck diagnosing the issue without charging me for it. They had the truck up and running on the day they told me they would at a little less than the cost they estimated for the repair. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who wants honest work done on their vehicle.

QUALITY locally owned business. If I could give them a 10 star I would. We took our Yukon to the dealership in Bastrop they quoted me 10k+! Saying I had to replace my engine. They didn’t want to chase down our oil leaks so just replace the engine, no thank you. I called G&E and Theresa answered and was SO nice. They fixed my rig, and at AFFORDABLE rate, was super quick about it. That was last thanksgiving. I just called because my rig was acting up, they got me in this week and fixed it. I’m so grateful for yall. Support local y’all. Go see them and support them. They do amazing work and they’re HONEST.

My family was 100 miles into an 1800 mile return trip to our home when our 1998 Suburban's 4wd broke coming into Lockhart just a day or two before Memorial Day 2023. We tried several mechanics around town but they were either too busy wrapping up or already shut down for the holiday. Thankfully, Kevin with G&E Auto Repair was able to work magic on our 4wd and turn it into a 2wd to get us back on the road that day. Since that modification, it's gone strong on two 1800 mile round trips to Texas. So, if you're ever in a bind, call this mechanic.
