i have been a customer of Sage Bank since they located in Lockhart. They have always been very helpful and courteous until recently. The first of this year marked a change. I went to the drive thru to deposit a check I had received from a family member who lives in Connecticut. I simply wanted to deposit it, no cash back, into my checking account. I waited and waited and as other lanes were being serviced. For some reason I was being ignored with no explanation. I eventually inquired as to why I was being ignored. I was told because it was an out of state check the teller had to talk to a bank officer. I told her it was a deposit and no cash back and there was no reason to keep me waiting so long. I felt like I was made to feel as if I was doing something suspect or wrong . A second time after paying off a mortgage held by Sage, they refused to file a release of lien at the Court House. They had place the lien at the start of the loan, but would not file a release at the end, they told me if I wanted a release, I would need to take the proof of repayment and get it recorded myself. In all my previous real estate transactions the release of lien was done by the mortgage holder. There was a small fee of $27 payable at the courthouse, so I expect this was their problem. I intend to close my account after more than 25 years. I feel Sage Capital Bank has changed and no longer appreciates their customers.

Outstanding experience here! They give you personal attention that you could never get at a big bank.Their commercial financing helped us to fulfill our business goals. I highly recommend working with Sage and already tell everyone I know how wonderful this bank is to work with. (We bank at their Lockhart branch.)

Sage Bank is an amazing establishment. I had never used this bank before but when I needed help. They had my back. They are also a very community active bank. When the non-prophet organization I work for in Lockhart, TX need sponsors for a community event they stepped up and came through with the highest sponsorship level donation. I was attempting a reverse tax exchange (where you buy a property, then sell off properties for the exchange) and I had a substantial portfolio of assets, but I couldn't get a large loan for a ranch because bankers were concerned that once my apartments and rental properties were sold, I wouldn't have the income to support the note. The rejection from all the bankers I called almost dispirited me and I began doubting we'd be able to buy this beautiful acreage. My last call was to Josh Avant, who figured out a way to make the loan happen. We paid off the entire principle less than six months later -- but I will forever be indebted to Sage Capital Bank. I've never been happier in my entire life. Without them it wouldn't have happened. They're good folks.

This is the worst bank. Screwed up my business account and it is going to take me weeks now to fix the mess.
