It was very disappointing to not be told that the kitchen is still not ready for full service. We still would have gone but would have calibrated our expectations. We've been waiting for weeks for the delicious and unique take on tartare.

My husband and I had been looking forward to eating here and made a reservation for our anniversary through LT's website. We drove an hour to get there only to find that the doors were locked and no one would answer the phone. According to their posted hours, they should've been open. I messaged them on Instagram, no response. Emailed the owner, no response. This place is probably fine if you already happen to be in Lockhart *and* they happen to be open, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, or choose this place for a special occasion.

We had reservations for 7:15 on a Saturday, after they sat us we were informed they only had 3 things on the menu scallops, rice and pork because of a kitchen staff shortage they claimed. 0 stars because we left. Sounds more to me like a management/food ordering problem. Will never go back.

The host was immediately rude and combative. She insisted after two second's consideration that I not made a reservation and when I showed her proof that I had, she realized that she had been looking at the wrong week. Instead of apologizing for her brisk denial, she retaliated by seating us at a wobbly, brightly lit table next to the door. This despite the fact that they were not busy and there were multiple other open tables. Throughout the night, she repeatedly tried to move us along and out of the restaurant. She offered us take home boxes shortly after our meals and appetizers were brought out together. This bizarre hostility made the high menu prices considerably last palatable and cast a damper on what I had intended to be a romantic evening. Not wanting to stay where we clearly weren't wanted, we forwent after dinner drinks and escaped to a more hospitable environment elsewhere. Being glared at in a brightly-lit unfinished basement is a part of my life I thought I had left behind in my teenage years and I certainly won't be returning. I would advise anyone else looking for a pleasant evening not to descend those stairs.

Did not have several items on the menu. Salad, calamari, iced tea, ipa beer and burgers very good indeed. Sent fries back: wooden. Basement atmosphere nice but a bit gloomy: needs more and warmer light. Had to ask for the post-punk rock music to be turned down a bit.

We LOVED Chef Casey's Little Trouble in Big China popup menu! I think our whole group ordered two entrees per person because everything was so good— crab rangoon, pork lo mein , and honey walnut shrimp were highlights. Casey is always doing fun specials that they post about on Instagram/Facebook, so highly recommend checking that out when planning a reservation. Thanks for great service!

I was in town to try barbecue and after our first stop, we walked the streets to build up our next appetite. I saw this door open along a brick building with a staircase leading up. Not really sure what we were about to find, we headed up, and found a very cool Cafe! An excellent morning pit stop for espresso, bourbon and bites. The shrimp shooter was a tasty snack.

I had 8 o'clock reservations for myself and my friend who was visiting from out of town. We were seated promptly (we were even a little early) despite it being a very busy night. The staff were courteous and helpful. We had the Conchitas Flameado & the Grilled Smoked Scallops. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was lively & fun. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the energy. We will definitely return.

The atmosphere and location of this little restaurant are absolutely wonderful but the food and service were definitely lacking.I ordered the chilaquiles and a margarita mimosas. The drink was ok, a tiny bit sweet for me, but I think most people would love it. The chilaquiles on the other hand were a huge miss. Everyone at the table tried them as well and had the same feedback. All of the components were good, but together it just did not work. The chilaquiles had no sauce, just chorizo, chips and one egg with cilantro. Meaning each bit left a dry gritty taste and falling in the back of my throat. I would not recommend.I did get a chance to try my friends chicken and waffles and those were pretty tasty. The chicken has a nice spice to it that I thought was wonderful.I don’t think I would have five given such a low score if it was just my plate that was the issue, but the service was also really bad. We joked at our table that it was BYOW cause we happened to have our own water bottles and asked for water refills multiple times to no avail. The food took an awfully long time and so did the check.Overall, this seems like a great brunch spot for the location but definitely didn’t feel worth the price by the end of it given the overall experience. Hopefully that all improves with time ?

Our Sunday Brunch at the Eldorado was lovely! We enjoyed the ambiance of the setting, with high ceilings, wood floors and windows that overlook the historic courthouse. The food was fabulous - everything was fresh and tasty, and served hot! Great service, too! For the best experience, get there before the crowd. They open at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings.

Our party of 7 enjoyed an amazing meal! Everything we ordered was prepared and presented perfectly. Those of us who ordered steaks agree they were among the best we have ever eaten. Be sure to order their Party Bread and Calamari as appetizers. And, my son wants me to add that his burger was DELICIOUS!

Absolutely horrible experience for my mom on Mother's Day. They were out of all the items we wanted to order, food was cold, long wait time, food not worth the price. You would think if you are only open one day a week for brunch you'd have everything together. No one in our party of 6 will be back.

Great view of the down town area. Mimosas were ok juice was very concentrated they ran out of glasses so poured out of the jug at our table. Food was also ok, limited menu seemed to be out of a lot . My friend just wanted biscuit's and they did not have butter nor jelly. I had the smoked salmon toast which was good but I feel like it should of been more maybe another slice? Some type of side? Servers were friendly and seemed to be working the room well together.

Outstanding food options! Calamari, miso salmon, spiral twirl potatoes, burger, fries, and drinks were all over the top. The drink menu was robust and designed from a seasoned bartender. Excellent wine list as well. The desert looked like landscaping the design was so beautiful, it was fascinating to eat! Thank you for a wonderful night out.

I'm 100% certain Little Trouble provides the best dining experience in Lockhart. The food was quite good. Ambiance is lovely. Drink prices were on the high side. But, I guess that's just the new normal everywhere.
