I have shopped at various Cavender’s throughout Texas since the 80’s. Plano, College Station and Longview. Always had a good experience until recently.I buy my steel toe Justin work boots from them to wear in my business as a mixed animal veterinarian.I have buying them from the Longview store since I moved to east Texas in 2003. I usually buy a new pair of work boots from there every 12-18 months as they wear out.I also buy my blue jeans from there, the occasional Cinch shirt, and a several hundred dollar gift card for the wife every Christmas.I bought a new pair of my usual Justin work boots from there on 4-20-24.They were rubbing my feet but they usually take 3-4 days to break in, so I wasn’t worried about it.After 1 week, they were still hurting my feet. I couldn’t get back in there until May 1 because of my busy work schedule.I took them back with my receipt and asked if I could exchange them for a different pair since they were hurting my feet.The manager told me that since I wore them, he can’t take them back.I told him I’ve been wearing this same boot for years and never had a problem until now. I didn’t want a refund, just trade them out with a different.He just shrugged his shoulders and said “you wore them so they’re yours and we can’t take them back.”Very poor customer service and a complete lack of any attempt to rectify the situation.They’ve lost me as a customer and I’ll be sure to let all my farming/ranching clients how they treat a long time good customer.

I just left Cavender‘s boots. I came here with high hopes of finding a comfortable pair of men’s cowboy boots. A lot of employees standing around talking to each other and after about 15 minutes someone finally approached me to see if they could help. I accepted the young ladies help, but she just stood there watching me and told me where to look. No real help. I finally told her it’s OK I’ll just look around on my own, but thank you. I did find a couple of styles that I liked but when I went to look for them on the shelves, I could not find my size or the style. The shelves are stacked with boots in a hodgepodge kind of set up. Not by style, not by size, not sure what their system was…. very disappointed in this store.

Trying to buy a hat an one of the employees was pretty rude so I left but they have good quality stuff there

Very clean and organized store. Very friendly staff and great selection of inventory. A bit on the pricey side, but you can almost guarantee that you will be able to find whatever it is you're looking for. All and all it was a pleasant experience for us this time and I would recommend everyone looking for that western style of clothing to shop here.

Black Friday at Cavanders was insane! Despite the crazy crowds the employees were super nice and helpful. Most had smiles on their faces. Lines moved fast. Got what we came for and got out in a decent amount of time. I call it a win!

Mrs. Cece was so very sweet and helped us pick out boots and an outfit for my daughter and even helped with the multiple wardrobe changes in the fitting rooms! Thank you Cece!

My mother has been buying me bibs for years and I always return then to the store in Longview and get a gift card. I have done this for the past 10 years. Today they said they couldn't accept them because they didn't have a cavenders sticker on them. Said it was a new policy??? They all had the barcode on them because they were brand new. I will not do business here ever again. Manager was rude!

I was interested in purchasing some shoes. I couldn't find the mate as the box said on display. When asked for help the lady looked in same area I did, then told me she works only on weekends and that would be a question for the girls that work weekdays. I noticed shortly afterwards she was leaving ... guess that's why she didn't have time to help me find the shoe.

Excellent customer service. Very courteous and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Heather is really good at the hat bar. These ladies exceed the level of expectation. Clearly the premier western store in Longview. Outstanding shopping experience. 5 plus stars !!!!!
