I loved going to the store especially because of the friendly and polite staff. But this new manager or the supervisor doesn't have any empathy. My mom is eighty and diabetic. She really had to use the restroom. I even told the guy what if she peed on the floor but he was very inconsiderate and said it's a dry store.
I know it is a dry store but anyone can make an exception in an emergency.
And guess what, she had an accident. She peed on the floor.
It was very embarrassing for her and made me really upset.
Any business need to have a level of humanity...

I saw an interaction between a ridiculously irate customer and a PROFESSIONAL Customer service agent named Destiny where she deescalated the situation with a profound skill that I found soo impressive that I'm honor bound to post. Longview TX.

Waste your money or time at this place the cashiers are rude. The card readers never work And the self check out system almost always requires someone to help you, and they just sit there staring at you When it comes to shopping experiences it’s pretty trash The shelves are never stocked don’t wear name tags or work attire so you can’t tell who’s who for a store that’s supposed to be convenient it is everything but

Bought an air compressor there. Got it home and it would not work. The store clerk did not give me a receipt when I bought it but I showed the “manager” the purchase on my vank account and they would not return or exchange it because I didn’t have a receipt.

Purchased a package of tortilla bread and a pint of ben and Jerry's only to come home and find the bread moldy and the ice-cream freezer burnt. Never again. I'll keep them in mind for the non grocery item.s only.

While I was standing in line this evening, there was a elderly lady in front of me that had a question about a price. The cashier was politely trying to answer the question when this lady yells out "If you don't like the price, you can leave." The elderly lady said excuse me who are you? She said " I'm the manager and this is MY STORE! If u don't like it, leave and don't come back!"I will continue to shop at dollar general but I'll never go to that store again as long as that lady is running it.

I just experienced this new store for the first time and WOW! Dollar general has really stepped it up! I know it's fresh,not even a week of being open,but WOW. I feel like I'll be able to go there for all my basic needs! No more dragging myself to the dreaded super 1 for *convenience*. I am truly impressed. ❤
