On May 16th, around 4:30pm, my husband and I started moving out of our storage unit as we were moving into our new home. On the way into the units, my husband got the trailer stuck in the way of the gate. We tried for about 5 to 10 minutes to try and get the trailer unstuck and out of the way. While we were doing this, the general manager was sitting in his golf cart and watching us. We started to unhook the trailer so we could pick it up and manually move it since we failed to fix it with our truck. When we unhooked the trailer, the general manager came up to us and started to raise his voice at us, saying things like “you can’t park it here, you need to move it out of the way.” We tried to get him to understand that that’s what we were trying to do, but we couldn’t with the truck. He continued to be loud and berate and refused to help his paying customers, so my husband began to raise his voice back. Rather than helping two people who were in a sticky situation, he made it worse by coming up to us just to belittle us. After we got the trailer fixed and moved on our own, he came up to us while we were moving out of the unit to apologize, but at that point, the damage had been done. We do not recommend this unit at all, although, we had a wonderful experience with Mitchell at the Affordable Storage on 98th and University. His unit was clean and ready for us when we got there.

Doing business with A Plus Super Storage is wonderful. The office personnel are professional, helpful and friendly. The rates are lower than most other places, and the units are clean.

I had an amazing experience with Affordable Storage on 98th! After a horrible time at Discount Storage, they completely turned things around for me. They not only offered me a clean and secure unit to move into, but they even provided a free trailer to help with the move — such a lifesaver! Huge shoutout to Brandon, Mitchell, and Quinton — they were all incredibly respectful, professional, and super helpful throughout the whole process. I felt genuinely taken care of here. Highly recommend this place if you want peace of mind and top-notch service!

Great customer service. They took care of my needs, got me what I wanted and had me in a storage all within an hour tops. Great prices and making sure my spouse and I were taken care of. If your looking for a great storage place. A-Plus Storage should be it!

They have your information but only send rate increases through the mail. But invoices are sent through email. They have your phone number but dont call or text pertinent information. Called before my month ended and because I didn't give them a 15 day notice, I was charged for another month.

I’m a firm advocate for reviews, but I also don’t think every negative experience deserves a negative review. Company’s shouldn’t suffer because a staff member isn’t at their best…. Hence this being my only negative review.
My first red flag was a couple months in when the rental fee almost doubled. I’m sure it was in fine print, hidden in the agreement but it wasn’t a bullet point that I was made clear of at the beginning and that comes across as shady, because anything ‘hidden’ is meant to mislead. My next concern came a couple months later, when an unauthorized draft/date was sent through my account and causing several other payments not to clear, accruing overdraft fees and return fees for each one. The manager did refund the payment but I was stuck with the added fees. And the last straw, most recent was being told that they don’t prorate per day, but only by two weeks… so when I couldn’t get to Lubbock from Dallas in time to have the unit empty prior the start of business on the day my bill was due, I asked for the prorated amount to be charged and I would still have it cleaned out by 5 pm. Agreeing to pay two full weeks for only a couple hours! Where I was then informed that they do NOT prorate. So my bill is due at 9am on the 25th, I had the means to empty it before CLOSE of business at 5pm on the 25th but they were STILL charging the full months rental fee. (Their system accidentally double charged this month already, so I’m left waiting for a refund again leaving me open to overdrafts for a 2nd time in 4 only months!)
Any one of these issues would be easy to look past, but there’s a pattern of inconsistency and overcharging that is unacceptable.
I do not recommend this branch under any circumstances. This family emergency has definitely cost more than it would have if I went with any other storage facility in Lubbock.

Top notch service, super friendly and very helpful. When I called to check availability and no one answered, Brandon called me right back to ask what I needed. Unheard of in CT. Texas service should be a blueprint for the rest of the country. Glad we chose A Plus Super Storage on 82nd and University Ave.

Came in to get a unit and was serviced by Elizabeth. She was joyful and very helpful. She explained everything I needed to know and help me to pick the best size unit I needed. The prices were good and I'm happy
