This is definitely the best First United Bank in town. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. I've been using this bank for years, and I do love all of the features on the app. I usually get great help when I call and have never had any major problems. I prefer this location specifically. I drive more out of my way to go to this location as opposed to the one closer to my house. I strongly recommend that you give them a try and download their awesome app!

I can't believe the negative reviews on this Bank, I Bank here and have always had a great experience with them friendly courtesy and just great customer service and Gene Maxwell is the best of all he is great to deal with he always helps me out with helping me get my loan he just doesn't say sorry can't help you he goes out of his way to help you get that loan you need or want go see Gene Maxwell he's there for you, he will do his best to help you Great Bank at least it has been for me I wouldn't change Banks even if any other Bank offered me $5000 to switch over to them customer service is what's important to me and I have never had bad service with First United Bank thanks guys and keep up the great work.

I opened a checking account last week. The spirit rewards app won’t let me log in, half the time the first united bank app won’t load, and I sat in the drive up window 15 mins before a snotty lady asked what I wanted then she informed me that the cash I’d wanted to deposit wouldn’t be deposited until maybe Friday but most likely Monday todY is Tuesday so I went inside and closed the account. I was told they was short handed but I was the only one in the drive thru and only one in the building and I saw at least 4 people inside the bank who worked there. Please sign me up to work with that kind of short handed!

If FUB is promoting the Spirit of West Texas, then that spirit appears to be "ho hum". I was expecting a wire transfer to a bank out of town, and someone at FUB erroneously presented the wrong last name, and my bank rejected the transfer. Not a big deal typically, people make mistakes and that is understood. However, it's the means in which you correct your mistakes that makes an impression on the consumer. I contacted the wire department before they closed, and nobody was willing to go the extra mile to correct their error. I was told I would just have to wait until the next day, since they "don't do anything" after 4pm. Disappointing. In contrast, the lady I was speaking with at my bank UFCU in Austin impressed me. She was going around to different departments, kept checking back with the wire department, even had them sort through 60 similar transfers to see if they could pinpoint what happened. I know most people in Lubbock have no love for Austin, but FUB could afford learn a thing or two.
