This is my go to shop for quality lifting equipment, I've always had a good experience every time I go in. Today, Byron helped me pick out a set of wrist wraps and explained which ones would be best suited for my needs. When I needed more details, he brought Deidrick over who was able to answer any question I had and in addition gave me a lot of good tips on exercises. These guys have always been helpful and are easy to talk to, so if you're looking to take your routine to the next level this is the place to go!

These guys are awesome. I bought a treadmill with them a little over a year ago. It's a great piece of equipment. They delivered it, set it all up for me, and when I had questions later about how to function it talked me through everything I needed to know. Last week I moved into a new home. D and B came out and took the machine apart, moved it, and set it up in my new house. They were utterly professional and wonderful. Working with this company has been nothing but positive.

My husband and I were in search of a rowing machine. Initially we were impressed by Fitness Specialist as we showed up on a Sunday (their sign said Sunday by appointment only) and a staff person, Byron, took the time to show us a machine despite his not working that day. Good start. Then, my husband went down and talked with Byron. Tried out the machines and got information. Then we both went down and talked with Byron. We finally settled on a machine... a Body Craft for $2,300. Byron assured us for that price we would get a brand new machine, delivered and built in our home. He stated that by purchasing the machine through them, that we would get "full service" support should ANYTHING go wrong with the machine. We pulled out the card and signed the bill. We waited a week for delivery (we were told they needed time to build the machine AND they had other deliveries on the schedule. No problem... we were excited for our new purchase and we're pleased with Byron's promises of epic customer service.Whelp.... Fast forward to delivery day.... I work on Fridays and it just happened that my husband was called out to work that day also. We have a friend staying at the house so he was there for delivery. Byron and another guy dropped the machine off in the desired location and left. I get home and;1. The machine is cracked on both sides of the magnetic wheel,2. We can't access the tablet because it's locked with a 4 digit PIN that we don't have, 3. The front casing of the wheel isn't put together completely which is what made the wheel casing crack.It's after 5 on a Friday, so my husband went down on Saturday and the in store manager said... "ya, the guys told me about the tablet not working"... they took the floor model and didn't know what the PIN was. Wait... what? You delivered a floor model after promising a new machine? And your guys knew that the tablet couldn't be accessed AND SAID NOTHING? The store manager then proceeds to tell my husband that this is how they always do business and that it's not a big deal. They will just order parts and we can bring them the machine and they will fix it. Oh ya.... Parts are about 6-8 weeks out. When my husband asks about a loaner machine or any kind of compromise or customer service, the store manager says they don't have any loaners and if your wife doesn't like that, she can come down and I'll tell her. Well, first of all, my husband is MUCH more polite than I am. You should have just handled this with him. Because me, well, I'm fired up mad. Why on earth you would find it acceptable to deliver a floor model machine that you KNEW was broken with a non accessible tablet is beyond me! What wouldn't you have given us the option of the floor model or waiting for a new machine to be delivered (FYI... we would have gladly waited for a new machine to be delivered). When confronted by these blatantly deceptive sales tactics you pretty much told us it wasn't a big deal and to get over it. Well, buddy... you're not the one who just spent $2500 based on the lies of a salesman. Short version.... This place is all about the sale and nothing about the customer. Don't waste your time OR money. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Our sales rep (Gilbert or Gabriel - sorry I can’t remember which) was SUPER thorough finding out exactly how we’d be utilizing the equipment and led us to exactly what we needed. He was respectful of our time and there was zero pressure on the sale. An amazing surprise was the delivery and setup! Byron Moore and Deidrick McDaniel communicated with me prior to their (on time) arrival and they were both extremely courteous and professional. Setup was super fast! Owning a small business myself - it’s truly refreshing to know that there are still employees out there that really go the extra mile and treat the customer as they should be treated. They were both so respectful and kind. Lonnnng shot from the service we get at Academy or any other big retail store. I’ll be recommending FS to lots of people in our area. Thank you!Vicki McNeal

B and D came to deliver/install a fuctional trainer at my home today and I could not be more pleased with the experience. As someone who has been in the fitness industry for twenty plus years I was truly blown away. Thru the process I experienced integrity, kindness, product knowledge, and honesty. These type of interactions are truly what the world is missing in these troubling times and I am blessed to have had this interaction today. Thank you B and D for your hard work. The Inspire FTX1 is also an absolutely beautiful fuctional trainer and I am happy I went with the Fitness Specialist in Lubbock for the purchase.

Jason and his team at Fitness Specialist in Lubbock are the most professional group of people I've ever experienced in the fitness equipment space. Not only is the sales process simple, responsive and tailored to your needs, the delivery experience is even better. The gentlemen that came to me my office and home to bring the equipment were very careful, super polite and made sure everything was perfect before they left. I'll continue to buy all my fitness equipment at Fitness Specialist.

We stopped at Fitness Specialist to look at a few pieces of equipment for our home gym, and I'm so glad we did! Deidrick and Byron were super helpful and knowledgeable about all of the equipment, and they made shopping there so much fun. Importantly - they weren't pushy at all! That's a quality that will keep us coming back.There is a huge selection of equipment, so no matter what size gym, there's something that will work for your space. They let us try lots of pieces, helped us identify things that had the functionality we want, and even told us about equipment they anticipate getting in that might work better for us. If they don't have something, they'll look around and try to get it. Shipping is very reasonable for large equipment.We purchased a few small items and one large piece of equipment. They kept our info for when the next item we want is in stock. We will definitely be back!

We have used Fitness Specialist twice. One for local move of equipment and one for out of town. B and D were amazing and so very careful. They were both efficient and professional! We will definitely use again!

We had a technician do a preventative maintenance service call this week over at the gitfit Fitness Center in Idalou. AC did a fantastic job! We're on a lean budget but it was a good value for the amazing service provided. We look forward to working with Jason and his team at Fitness Specialists. Well done!

B & D came to the house. They were very polite, respectful, and friendly. They did an excellent job of moving my running machine from upstairs to my basement downstairs. The staircase down to the basement is very tight and somewhat of a spiral shape. It was a difficult move but they did it without damaging anything. Excellent job guys! Thanks!

Seem like great guys, but this is a honest review of the products (not the people). They are severly overpriced.Why would I pay $5,000 or $10,000 for a treadmill just because it includes 10 years of free parts and 1 year of free labor? Just think about that for a second.In 10 years, technology will be different. Will I even want to still have this treadmill? There’s also no way to guarantee that this company or the manufacturer will be in business in 10 years. On top of that the labor isn’t free because you’re paying for it upfront — and if the products are as good as they say I’d never use that 1 year of labor anyway. I’d be better off just buying from Academy or a similar place, and if that $1500 treadmill dies in 2 years, I’ll just buy another one. It’s still cheaper than $5000.Also who cares about a treadmill that connects to the internet, etc. I’m using it to run, not to do research projects.Being mom and pop, you expect a little bit higher pricing and better customer support, but at some point it doesn’t balance out and this place is at that point. If they can’t buy in large enough quantities to get their pricing down from their suppliers, they should reinvest into different products.

We had a great experience with everyone at Fitness Specialist. Deidrick and Gilbert were extremely helpful setting up the equipment and teaching us the in's and out's of it all. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing fitness equipment.
