I went in and this overweight bald long bearded dude is stocking doesn’t even give me the time of day and I recently got laid off and wanted to sell my guitar I got as a gift from someone dear to me but I need to make ends meet and I have to track him down and find him and asked very politely if they bought back guitars and he seemed disgusted with my request and said “I mean yeah but we’re extremely picky” and I said “yeah okay man just checking” and he looked and said “yeah no that’s an FS series NOT INTERESTED” and then stopped looking at me and went back to fiddling with the same box pretending to stock. I hope people see this and never go back there. Some type of hospitality goes a long way especially when you don’t know what people are going through. I hope he gets reprimanded for this because I will be posting everywhere about this horrific service I’ve received and pray to whatever god he believes in that he gets what he deserves. Absolutely disgusting. God awful. Horrific place. All with hear about this interaction.

I came to GC this week and was looking for a guitar pedal and was told “ No we don’t carry that brand “, no other conversation period. I’m an old rocker and noticed the eye roll after my question. I hate this as I’ve spent alot of money there in the past. Won’t go back, love all the stuff I bought from them but I can go online and get it all.

Me and my friend were checking out some guitars playing mexican music , we were only there for 15 minutes and one of the workers said we had to leave, I'd like to think it wasn't racist, but it seemed more than obvious.

Guitar Center should order some of the Gibson Generation Collection acoustic guitars. The series of Gibson Generation guitars has been in production for a few years now. The Generation Collection guitars have been Gibsons strongest selling line of guitars for a few years now. Price is right for Guitar Center, there are mostly only budget priced guitars for sale in there. Where has the better grade equipment gone in the Lubbock Guitar Center over the past few years? Gibson SJ-200 acoustic guitars, Stack tube amps, Guitar Center in Lubbock used to sell a variety of higher end guitars. How about at least the G 45 and G bird Gibson Generation guitars? I go to try and buy new gear in person though they don't have what I go to there specifically to see every visit. I bought a couple of amps in there, while they had them. It would be nice to be able to both see and buy musical instruments in person -not just online. No one else in Lubbock sells Gibsons, Guitar Center has maybe up to 4 acoustic Gibsons in there, thats it for all of Lubbock. Until 5 years ago or so, Guitar Center threw in a case and a guitar stand for free when you bought a guitar from them. You could also negotiate on the price. Somehow they still call themselves Guitar Center and use the same logo. They're probably on their way out. If they had a liquidation end of daze clearance sale I might buy some strings or a guitar stand from them marked down to the regular online prices but that'd be it from them. Theres not much selection from them anymore

Poor place to ask. I called about some instruments, and I got holds and sighs. If you don't like to work there, LEAVE!! Other people like myself had Aaron the best!! The bees knees!! I'll shop somewhere else.

I picked out a Mitchell guitar which was originally 500 but I got it on sale for 200. The front reception guy realized that it was too good of a deal and tried to manipulate me into not buying and gave me misinformation. I found behavior of the staff to be very discriminative towards novice customers.I am not going back to this place. The prices are way better online anyways. Almost half price for any accessories in Amazon. Guitar Center in Lubbock sucks.

This place rocks! Matt C. is the go to man for any guitar tech setups or fixes. I took a couple of guitars for setups and he did an amazing job for each of the instruments. I also purchased a Les Paul here everyone was attentive and respectful. Overall, great place for any fixes or gear. 5/5

They have lots of instruments. Real nice guitar room filled with acoustic guitars. They can provide lessons for drums, guitars and keyboards. I did some price shopping for a guitar they had that I wanted and they were the cheapest option I found

I always shop here for all my dj equipment and staff is usually very helpful. I went in today 12/28/2022 to inquire about some headphones and nobody wanted to help me, staff was very unprofessional and rude. nobody was in the store. I will NEVER shop here again, Amazon and Online Shopping for my dj business shopping from now on.I guess ever since Covid hit in 2020, it killed the customer service industry.

The people there are amazing. Ready to share a joke and also impart some knowledge. I'm not a noob but also not an expert. Any questions I had they either knew or looked up with me. Definitely recommend.
