Had an errand nearby and decided to try the much lauded BBQ at HEB. The place still looks new and clean, but to find a restroom you have to go to the checkout lanes. The prices seemed a little high, but that isn't unusual for a BBQ place. I ordered the two meat plate and received a sausage link and two thin slices of brisket - each of my sides were larger than both portions of meat together! Turns out you are paying a lot for small portions. The corn bread was ovebaked and dry. My sausage link had tougher, drier skin than a Sahara Desert guide. The brisket beans were different but okay. The potatoes salad is heavy on the mustard. My wife had the baked potato and said it was alright. My daughter had mac'n'cheese but said it was only okay. They must think that the "live music" experience is worth the excessive price. I should know better than to eat at a grocery store snack bar, no matter how much lipstick they put on the pig.

HEB is a locally-owned grocery store that gives back to the community. Their store-brand products are delicious, and the customer service is outstanding. Furthermore, you can find anything you may need from the pharmacy to food! Finally, you can try their central market brand if you need a gourmet product.

Delivery service was terrible. Groceries were just left and no response from Driver. Do not use this location for delivery!!! No way to leave feedback or withdraw top in app.

The pharmacy at the Lubbock H-E-B is excellent. I take a boxful of different meds due to a auto-immune disorder that has resulted in a permanent neuromuscular disease, and have no insurance and they sure as heck succeed in scouring Good Rx to provide a substantial money-saving coupon for me every single time. Since I self-pay, their help is indispensable to me. They all seem very competent and committed to good customer service. On the other hand, Market Street's policy (the practice at 19th and Quaker, at least) is that you must present a copy of a Good Rx coupon yourself, and only in-store, they won't normally handle a Good Rx transaction via drive-thru, but will make an exception, at least they did in my case after some persuasion. It was a pain to plead my case every time I picked up a prescription. Try H-E-B pharmacy, they're the best.

I love H‑E‑B. I love pretty much everything they sale, including their H‑E‑B brands of different items. When I lived in the hill country, the customer service at any given store was outstanding. Not in Lubbock. Just as Lubbock weather can be harsh, unforgiving and highly inconvenient, the LBB H-E-B team members are the same. They couldn't give a tiny rat's butt if you're satisfied or happy with your experience. I usually go early in the morning and have to deal with employees stocking shelves, getting pick-up orders ready, and their VERY unyielding floor cleaner. Most of the employee encounters I've had in this store are rude - expecting the customer to yield the right of way at all times without so much as an "excuse me". You'd think H‑E‑B would give in-store customers the courtesy of an easy shopping experience. I've had times where I couldn't get down an aisle due to employee carts or employees themselves blocking the way. I've had employees organizing pick-up orders literally run into my basket. I just had to ask an employee who was intent on his phone if I could get to the shelf he was blocking (yes, I'm annoyed enough that I'm writing this review IN THE STORE and yes - unlike H‑E‑B employees - I pulled my basket to the side to ensure I wasn't preventing anyone from grabbing what they needed). I make the effort to come in to your store, and I guarantee I could do some impulse-buying....if it weren't for your inconsiderate staff. I do have to say my check out guy today salvaged this experience - he was friendly and kind and focused on others. LBB H-E-B will benefit if they allow their customers to shop unhindered and treat them in a "we're-happy-to-have-you-here!!" kinda way. I know HEB's tagline is "Here Everything's Better". Not in LBB and it's a shame.

Lots of good fresh choices in vegetables and meats. Several brands to choose from and usually their brand is really good. Very friendly staff and always willing to help. They all speak fluent English and help you don't run off, not all on their phones. Love shopping here. Always get great service.

I was there yesterday and spent $140 and bought a brisket and had told my son who is currently out of town so he wanted me to pick up one for him who by the way spends about $600 a week at your store and they told me I would have to pay regular price for it after driving 25 miles to the store you had the nerve to tell me that you were losing money well as a single senior citizen I lost money and I will never do business with your store again!!!

Why does the drive thru pharmacy process take so long?? It's always faster to hassle with parking and going in. Drive thru is supposed to be faster/more convenient and it is neither. To expedite the process- why don't you have the payment box available when I arrive so I can send you the method of payment and ID first. Then when you send it back, it has prescription and receipt.

Not happy with our cake again I order a cake back in October for my daughter we order cake with raspberry filling no filling in the cake didn't want back to the store and order cake again in December for my birthday again order raspberry filling again no filling this time I want back to the store told them got a free cake next time got a card I order a cake for my son order raspberry filling again no filling again not happy

We drove to Lubbock because groceries are just so much better and the meat choices and quality beat anything in Amarillo. My mom drove and it was her first experience with H‑E‑B. We at the bbq place inside and was not impressed. Our grocery experience was fine - but mom needed gas. So, we went to the H‑E‑B gas hub. It didn't work when mom put her card in - so we left. A month later a $50 charge showed up on my moms card. She called the Lubbock H‑E‑B gas hub and they said "oh this happens a lot - we have an issue sometimes - just called your credit card company." Mom calls credit card company. They start investigating it. But decline to reverse the charge. So mom calls the financial services department of H‑E‑B corporate and they want her to write a letter and PROVIDE A RECEIPT - like there was no receipt - there was no purchase because the pump would not work!!!! We won't be back to H‑E‑B ... if they want to rob the elderly - I will take my business elsewhere - especially since they know there is an issue with their pumps. Here's a suggestion - FIX THE ISSUE!!!
