The service we received from the employee named Austin was unacceptable. In our industry, reputation spreads rapidly.

There’s like no communication
Online banking is down.. ALL OF THE TIME. They don’t ever post on the site, send emails, texts.. nothing to let you know it’s down.
Then if you call to get your balance or find out what’s going on.. the lines are always backed up.
You have a website for a reason.. post when you’re doing maintenance or online is down. It’s annoying

This bank is a good bank to have if you have money.. not so much for people who live paycheck to paycheck.
I have been a member of Prosperity Bank since 2016, a little over 8 years now. When I first switched to them, it was because that's who my employer banked with and Prosperity would charge me every week to cash my check with them because I was not a member, so I decided to create an account to avoid those $4-5 fees just to cash my $350.
A few years into having my account with them, i noticed that my account balance would randomly change because they would take 3-4 days to process the purchases on app ledger, so my balance was never accurate. This was a big problem over the weekends because they wouldn't process purchases over the weekend, so I never knew how much money I REALLY had. This is obviously a problem, because Monday they would hit me with several overdraft fees ($35 each) once they processed my purchases. Plus a $20-25 fee at the end of the month for a "negative balance fee".
Recently, my mortgage company changed their policy to where instead of automatically pulling the money from my account, we manually had to make the payment. So with this in mind, I paid my other bills that needed to be paid first, then was going to make up the extra money over the weekend to pay my house payment that Monday. Unfortunately the mortgage company did auto draft for whatever reason. My account is currently -$400 with $105 in overdraft fees. I visited the bank asking for some grace in the situation I am in. The manager originally refused to reverse the overdraft fees, because it's "not their fault" that this has happened. The banker tried her best to help me, after I explained that i'm a single parent living paycheck to paycheck in this terrible economy we are in.. they agreed to reverse 50% of the fees, but would not provide a receipt for the transaction. I have run into this problem with them a few years back and they told me they would credit the charges and never followed through with their agreement.
Just a warning to people banking with Prosperity Bank or thinking about getting an account.. They don't care about their customers, only about getting the money out of the overdraft fees from the people who are struggling to survive. Needless to say, I am looking into other options.
UPDATE : They did refund $52 of the $105 overdraft fees like discussed. This morning (2 days later) I woke up and checked my account and there is another $105 overdraft charge on the account even though my card has been locked and there hasn't been any transactions on this card since I first noticed the account was negative. Why is there ANOTHER overdraft charge if nothing else was pulled out of the account??

I had to go to 3 different ATM's, in Lubbock, to get cash. Why should I keep my account with you when you can't even keep your ATM's working? You owe me gas money!

Been there for over 10 years, here lately it has been a mess. I have never had such a hard time getting a loan. I just paid off my mortgage with them and I'm still a high risk for getting a personal, even with my collateral being worth four times more than what I'm asking.
