Overall I had a very disappointing experience at Scoggin-Dickey. I took my Ascent in for warranty work on a Monday morning at 7am. The service writer took my info and asked if I would like them to complete any other services such as an oil change. I said yes that would be great as my oil is due to be changed and I was quoted $70+tax. I expressed that I understand that the work I’m needing done won’t likely be able to be completed today but that I do need my car back asap as it’s my only mode of transportation. She verbalized understanding and let me know she would keep me updated as the day went on. By Wednesday afternoon when I hadn’t gotten any updates I called to check on the status and was told that they had ordered a part but had no tracking so it “could be a couple of days or several weeks we don’t know but I’ll let you know when it’s ready” and then she was done talking to me and the call was ended. Friday afternoon I got a call that it was ready and I could pick it up anytime and they could send a driver to come get me but it would be a while. It didn’t take but an hour or so to arrive and the driver was very polite and drove carefully. Upon arrival to the dealership I waited for just a few minutes for the service writer to come check me out and since it was warranty work I owed nothing and was handed my keys and I asked about needing to pay for the oil change and she said “oh let me look. She looked it up and said “no I didn’t do it. Your car is outside to the left. If it is blocked in you can ask the guy sitting out in the bay to move the cars”. She offered no apology for not getting the oil change done. She didn’t offer to complete the oil change while I waited. I was dismissed to go hunt for my car that may or may not be blocked in. I looked where she told me but my car wasn’t there. I looked around for several minutes and finally found it no where near where she told me it would be and it was blocked in so I went all the way back inside to find “the guy in the bay” to move cars to let me out. He acted confused about the request but got up and walked with me to find out what he needed to move and went to get keys to let me out. My car was filthy, work was incomplete, blocked in, no updates given, wasn’t brought up into the service drive for me to pick up and not have to hunt for.
Things that I wish had been done to make this a pleasant experience:
1. Update me like you stated you would.
2. Complete all work requested especially since you had my car for a week and had plenty of time to complete the work.
3. Apologize for not completing the work and offer to complete it while I wait.
4. Provide the courtesy wash that should have been done prior to my arrival so I don’t have to pick up a filthy car that I brought to you clean.
5. Pull the car around to the service drive and leave it running right outside the service writers office for a convenient pick up.
These few small non time consuming tasks could have made this experience a 4 star experience rather than a 1 star experience and wouldn’t have cost the dealership a penny or any more than 30 total minutes of precious time. Customer service is crucial to run a successful business and word of mouth can have a huge impact on business one way or the other. Get it together Scoggin-Dickey. Do better.

Recently bought a new Subaru Ascent. Salesperson (John) was excellent and worked with me to make the process smooth from beginning to end. At the very beginning he shared their lowest price on the vehicle, well below MSRP, and it never changed. Finance manager was extremely helpful, courteous, and quick. Very pleased with my new SUV.

Site stated parts were available. When they finally ordered my parts they shipped via FEDEx which required a signature and did not deliver on time. I will not use this company again for any of my customers

Mr.Greene is one of the most patient souls I've ever met lol. The finance manager Robert was also. I absolutely love my new Suburban and after running to 6 to 7 dealerships in Lubbock I found a gem.. you guys are so amazing and you made the process of buying my new family vehicle so easy. I live in Clovis nm and I was sure I wouldn't come home with anything after some really bad encounters. Mr.Greene and Robert thank u for giving a damn. I'll be back but in a couple of years. Working with Cesar was a pleasure! Went in to look around and found an amazing, freshly traded in, 2012 Rav4 for my wife and daughter. The whole process was smooth, and transparent. The whole team at Subaru is top notch and I would recommend anyone looking for a full service experience with reasonable pricing to look no further here in Lubbock. I also appreciate Matt, the manager, as he runs a great team at Subaru. Start to finish this has been a very pleasant buying experience. In both the sales and finance department I felt well taken care of. There was no pushiness, no aggressive attempts to add anything I didn't want. Pricing was very straight forward. It may be a while before I need another new car but I will certainly return here when that time comes. Cesar in sales and Dan in finance both went above and beyond. I would refer anyone to Scoggin Dickey.

Danielle, the sales rep., was personable, knowledgeable, available for questions, and did not pressure me at all. She spent time with me over several meetings to help me get exactly what I wanted. She did some extra research after our meeting and let me know updated information. After I made a purchase, she updated me weekly until the car arrived. I have owned about 6 cars over the years and the Subaru Outback is definitely my favorite. This is the 3rd one my family has purchased from Scoggin-Dickey and they have been great in every single interaction whether in sales or service. My Outback is comfortable, reliable, super great looking. I love it! I would likely return to Scoggin-Dickey because of the Outback, but truly it’s the staff that make it the best in town!
