We stayed here at the STAYBRIDGE SUITES IN LUBBOCK on Saturday March 2nd.We checked in around 4:30 or so.The girl working the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.I wish I would have gotten her name.Extremely heavy, brown hair pulled up in a bun with glasses and the personality of a ROCK.We travel all over the UNITED STATES and one of the dirtiest bathrooms I've been too.Needs a good scrubbing. We were in town for a golf tournament for our granddaughter and a basketball tournament for our grandson.Definitely needs a total makeover and good cleaning.I wouldn't recommend anyone staying there because it was terrible. The front desk lady needs to stay home if she is that miserable at her job......we definitely won't be back and I will inform other people not to stay there.Breakfast wasn't ready on time Sunday morning....had to ask for a toaster to cook cold bread and bagels.....had to go get toaster out of cabinet, had to ask where the cups plates,bowls,were.....had not been put out.Milk machine wasn't working and was stopped up.Breakfast was a JOKE....I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS FREE....NOT MUCH WAS PUT OUT FOR QUITE AWHILE....Noteworthy details: See above post

Friendly enough staff but overbooked and turned us away when we arrived, even though I booked directly with IHG. Also had us as a no show the next day, so I had to call after returning home to make sure I wasn't charged for a stay that wasn't meant to be. Also, the email address in my confirmation email was incorrect.

3-Star Hotel? What a joke. I've been in a LOT of hotels and conference venues. Avoid this place at all costs. Unfinished components of the rooms, it looks like whatever closet door that once existed was ripped from the wall. The HVAC units are OLD, DIRTY, and FALLING APART. I am not kidding. They are also loud and noisy in a way that feels cheap and defective. The thermostats are from the 90s. There are huge gaps under the door. So much for privacy. Burn marks on the duvet cover. Random dishes in the cupboards, and who knows if they're even clean when you arrive. Electrical outlets are loose and can't hold a plug. Other outlets are loose and shaky in the wall. One of the bedside lamps is literally falling apart and falling over. The shower head is filthy and dated, and sprays water all over the floor. The bathroom sink DOES NOT DRAIN. It is absolutely disgusting. I reported this 3 days ago, and 3 days have gone by with nothing done. You will find reviews of this same thing happening to people 6 months before I arrived, at least. It is completely unacceptable.I don't want to read your "apology" reply to this review, management, I want you to do your jobs. To anyone else reading this, spare yourself this garbage and go stay at the Overton. Everything about this place screams "landlord special". They are very clearly scraping by with minimal input into the facility while taking people's money. The rooms have a dishwasher. I will bet on my unborn first child's life that the filters in there have never been cleaned. I called IHG Customer Relations to tell them about this, and the rep muted the call and left the line open. Down to 1 star. There are stains all over the curtains. Read the other reviews. This has been going on for months and months. "How would you describe the hotel"? Haggard, dilapidated, and unclean. If this were a trip with my family, I would be furious.

Here on business and I stay in extended stay hotels all the time so I go by the cleanliness and service. The staff has been amazing. Breakfast, social hours, help from the front desk. Yes, the hotel is not brand new, but not ancient either.

Mom was in covenant hospital. This place is very close. Uber to my hospital was about $4.55 one way.Rooms: Room was comfortable. Full size ice box. Coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and board, fantastic soap built in the shower. Stove. Plates, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans. Microwave,Nice TV. Scalding hot water. Very home feel. Good breakfast. Desk for business. Couch. I had room 123 in December.Nearby activities: Texas tech all around. I-hop across street. McDonald's and others east of hotel.Safety: Didn't see any bad characters around. They said tech police sit all around here. Only note here is side doors to enter didn't work with room card. Had to walk to front entrance in a heavy rain downpourWalkability: I would not walk much because you will get ran over. 19th.street is fast paced. Hotel on the corner, but my room was in back, so I didn't hear anything.Food & drinks: Breakfast is great. Coffee and all your juices. They have tiny store next to front desk.Noteworthy details: Front desk folks very polite and friendly. Uber cars rolling around everywhere. I-hop open 24/7. Real close to Covenant hospitals. My Covenant heart center is on 19th.street, so not far. They have laundry room.

Rooms are not remodeled well. Wind blows in from windows, cords ran under kitchen laminate, vent hood isn't hooked up to vent or even turn on, bed broke as soon as laid down on it.

No hands soap or Lotion in sink area, have to use body wash from shower area. No facial tissue, no extra towels available.Breakfast was well presented, but things were out. No coffee, tortillas (they had salsa, cheese, veggiesto make burrito),Luckily, the girl brought out 8 potato patties and we got 4 and that's it. Need little upgrade in the room.

Yikes... this place is way overdue for a remodel and a cleaning crew. Besides the room being gross went down for breakfast Saturday morning at 9:30 and only thing available was a bunch of green bananas and some shredded cheese. Understandable if it was a home game Saturday but just three people sitting down there drinking coffee. For $300 this is wild especially for an IHG property. If I knew how dirty it was they couldn't have even paid me to stay here.Only good think is the location.

We got the TTPA rate for the weekend, but we paid way to much for an absolutely disgusting room. When we arrived, it didn’t seem too bad but they had the AC set at 65. We quickly unloaded & turned up the AC and then headed out to see our daughter. When we returned late that evening, the room smelled like a wet dog. We didn’t bring a dog & they insisted at the front desk that they don’t allow dogs on that floor. Definitely a lie because I had to clean up dog food in the bathroom. They had no other rooms and no manager here at the time. We also discovered that the bathtub would not drain properly. They told us they would come in and clean it Saturday really well while we were at the game. Another lie because they did not clean it at all. We’ve stayed in some great hotels and some not so great ones but this is one of the worst. And all they offered us was if we left Saturday they would not charge us for Saturday night or points which we don’t want at all. We even bought a diffuser to help mask the smell for the 2 nights. Luckily we were gone most of Saturday. There were also stains all over the curtains & the bedskirt. So beware - it’s close to campus but not worth it at all.

We have stayed here many times over the past 17 years and used to love it. The last time we stayed here they were remodeling and the whole place was in disarray. Understandable for a remodel. We returned recently and the "remodel" has not been maintained very well. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it had been updated at some point. Water stains over the shower, ... The first room they gave us had stains on the pillowcase, a refrigerator that sounded like a freight train, stained hand towel, ...- just icky. This is not a cheap hotel. I would think they would care more. There is no manager at this location, and that is very evident. Employees were very nice and seemed to be trying their best, but with no clear leadership there is only so much they can do. I felt bad for the employees that the company would put them in this position. It's not fair to them. With newer, nicer hotels close by, I would think they would work harder to compete. This was absolutely our last stay at this hotel.
