I am always a sucker for a good deal and let a third party booking site pick my hotel for me. Most times it works out well for me and then there are times when not so much. This was one of those times. The third party site says it will pick one of the three listed spots and the price is usually really nice. They will mask the dud location with two really nice locations. I got the dud this time. It is located right across from Tech and close to my son's apartment, so they got that going for them. Customer service is non existent. One employee was going off on another employee during the check in process. The lobby also has the breakfast area set up. The room was mostly clean. This place needs a major overhaul and makeover. I judge a hotel by the bed and the shower pressure. The bed was ok. Shower pressure sucked! They do have a fridge in the room which is a plus. Overall, I would not book this place again. If it is one of the options on a good deal, I would skip the deal.

Hotel is a bit older but in good shape and taken care of. Saff is very friendly and takes care of you. pool was dirty and closed for off season but this is expected in winter.Bathroom was recently remodeled and had a rain shower head, a hose shower head for ADA and a regular shower head. The toilet paper rolls were placed behind left of the toilet out of reach.Floors are all tile. Room has 2 locks and checkout is at 11am.Beds are not as great as you would expect but for the price you can't beat staying here. I would stay here again as the staff is nice and rooms are clean.Rooms: Phones, TV, ADA, spacious bathroomSafety: Camera every where and staff watches in lobby.Food & drinks: Breakfast, and vending machines.

Newer hotel in Lubbock. We loved it. It was even low cost! Good location. Very clean and cozy. Coffee 24/7. It’s a Best Western brand with breakfast.Rooms: Spacious and clean. Nice TV.

Run!!!! Do NOT stay here!!! BUGS!!! We paid cash for a room $98 for a room at 2am. With $100 deposit. We were in the room literally 10 minutes. Pulled the covers back and there were bugs. We took pictures and immediately went to front desk to get our money back to go somewhere else. They would not refund our money. We were told the cash had been deposited in safe and he could not get it until 7am. We explained that we had a business meeting and that we were not going to be in lubbock at 7am. The clerk was very rude, would not work with is in any way. Threatened to call the police on us, because we would not leave without our money. Finally after 30 minutes the clerk miraculously found 1 of the $100bills we gave him, but not the other. We had to go back at 7am to get the other $100.. which made us late for our business meeting 2 hours away. The manager Jay Patel would not answer any of the messages we left at the hotel for him. We have pictures of the bugs. So unless you want bugs I would not stay here. Much less the headache of trying to get your $ back...

The only good thing was the location. Near rhe hospital. The receptionist was ok. The room was horrible. Went to sit on bed and I sank nearly to the floor. Asked for another room. That room was pretry much the same. Wouldnt give me a refund. Pictures on the website are deceiving. Will never stay again.

I’ll treat this as the review of an under $100 hotel instead of what my expectations are for the $250+ that we paid on a football weekend. The property seems old and oddly creepy. The reception I got when I arrived was of pure disinterest. The internet can barely qualify as internet as the speeds were measured in kbps instead of mbps (it was unusable slow). There were gaps in the wall between the ac and wall that daylight could be seen through, same with the door to our room. There are floor plates in the hallway that someone is going to trip over as they are warped and stick up 1/2 inch or more. Closest are so narrow that a hanger doesn’t even fit across it. No place to put luggage in the room except on the floor or desk. Duct tape over a random outlet in the bathroom. And I could go on. As a discount hotel I could overlook one or two of these things, but at the inflated rates of parents weekend it was a big disappointment and we will look elsewhere next time we are in Lubbock, which is often.

Staff was amazing, the rooms were clean, the amenities were above and beyond what we were expecting for the price we paid. The pool was unique and beautiful, we would have utilized it if we had more time! Would and will stay again!

(Sorry So Long)Run down hotel near the Texas Tech campus. I would not recommend staying here; and I didn't really want to waste time taking a bunch of pictures showing the decline of this property. I will give you some pros and cons and then you can decide. I was just using it for a place to crash - not enjoy or relax. Since I like to have some adult beverages, I was able to get to sleep without worrying about a rat attack...(thank you Tito's!) Pros: - Close to the Teas Tech campus- Parking lot - free to park, had lights- Clean towels - Hot water- AC was cool and worked (loud - white noise)- Internet - Ice machine- Toiletries included soup, shampoo, conditioner - The furniture was not dinged up or in bad shape- Room refrigerator - worked (dirty)Cons:- Close to a highway - Parking lot was filled with beer cans, trash and needs repair, potholes, torn up - Halls leading to my room were dirty, carpet looked newish but had not been vacuumed in several days - 2nd floor door to the outside stair case would not close - no security- Outside stairs getting from parking lot to 2nd floor was covered in inches of cigarettes butts , along with an empty rum bottle and a couple of beer cansat the bottom of the stairs they had a bucket to catch the condensation from the AC they installed to keep the halls cool- I did take a picture of the rats turds by my tub - when I picked it up one of the turds ran off, it was a bug - So my bad, only one rat turd- Looks like the toilet and tub were cleaned with a brush and no cleaning product - not clean - Funky smell when I walked in, not sure I can describe it (death meets old food with a sprinkle of puke)- I travel with a small can of Lysol spray that I used to cover the smell- My desk chair look like it was dirty or had something spilled on it - put a towel down to use it - Sheets were soiled/stained - Odd smears of blood or feces on the wall next to one of the beds (I slept on the other- didn't really want to get to close)- Coffee was bland and weak, eggs were basically gone but looked miserable, sausage looked gray and shriveled and the homestyle potatoes had a bright orange look to them, they had biscuits but I didn't see any butter, jelly or gravy. They had a make your own waffle station but didn't see any mix or syrup, and they had 2 yogurts in a mini refrigerator - but with the atmosphere - I was not hungry- The tables and floor seemed clean and a few risk takers were eating (I headed to Starbucks) The property has great potential and with some simple, consistent cleaning standards for the rooms, halls and parking lot and some updated furnishings (beds, sheets, curtains and comforters,) and fresh coat of paint - the property could double the nightly rate. In summary, I only have one bite on my arm, leg, and maybe crabs. I got two nights of sleep and was out of there for a decent price on a game day weekend. I do not enjoy giving bad reviews, but when you read the responses from the GM, Jay Patel saying he is sorry to other guest and he will make changes and then I stay there a few months later and nothing has changed, its my duty to alert the general population. I will NOT be back!

Don't deserve 1 star I should have left when I walked in room smelling musky..what's worse I woke up with back iching and leg soon after noticing it was insect bits most likely from bed bugs. Great budget hotel! If you are looking for a place to stay under$75 this is the place. Realize how much you are spending in comparison to other places around and you will realize how great this place is. Staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was continental but also had fresh biscuits and sausage and country potatoes. Swimming pool was neat and clean.

Location is on the edge of a main street but we used the neighborhood in the back to move around. Everything g around Lubbock seems to be closed we ate Pizza hit down the street...Ok the inside down stairs is great! They have a lounge bar inside which is cool I didn't go since it was just me and my kids.Rooms need better cleaning. I found mold in my kitchen sink.About 5 small roaches walking around the kitchen sink and bath room sink.A hair on my towel.Hair on my blow dryer. Room 367.Room 368 has small roaches also.Spray for roaches and this will be the simi perfect hotel price is a little high when theres roaches! We left the door hanger for clean towels and sheets but they skipped that room and didnt it which by the way they were 1 room down from us and didn't stop to clean ours.The pool is what will bring me back as long as they are open lol the pool is AMAZINGLY COOL!.We were on the 3rd floor and the people down the opposite end were smoking weed outside on the steps and you could smell it in our room! The front lady in the morning and evening were really nice. The breakfast is great! The allow people I'm assuming tje drink and have a party in the back parking lot because both tomes there was groups of people getting drunk on the back parking lot.Rooms: Nice but roachesFood & drinks: Has a lounge inside and breakfast

This place was a total disgust . Mold on picture frames on walls and shower curtain. The sheets on the bed had stains, the room itself smelled of cigarette when it was supposed to be a non smoking room, the lamps had duston them, the toilet was old and so small it was more for like a daycare center, the pool was filthy as well , cigarette butts floating in the pool water along with trash. This place needs major updating and better housekeeping . Never again!

I hvnt stayed there yet, I've only spoken with the frnt desk, abt mkng reservations & other questions. We're needing to be in lubbuck tx for a week, since my daughter is hvng surgery at the university medical hospital in August. So my review of the frnt desks cust serv was great! She was very nice, patient with all my questions & I look forward staying in tht hotel.

I wish they would do a better job at cleaning. Mold around the tub gets out with a bit of bleach. They don't change the mattress covers. Ours had yellow stains. I don't think they mop because there was an odor of dog pee in the room. Could be great but the cleanliness isn't a priority.Rooms: Rooms are not cleanNearby activities: Close to downtown a d Tech Stadium.
