In the area for work and a co worker told me about this place. It is amazing, if you are getting cooked food to go or to sit down and eat, yes you can sit down and eat. They have the best tacos I have ever had. I will return!!!! FYI, you have to go to the cashier and place your order and pay, then you can go get your cooked meal. Just so you will not just stand and think no one is helping you.

Me and my bf ordered 8 tacos and they charged us $30!!! and they didn't come with any sides!...when we got to the counter to watch our food be prepared, I noticed the woman was cooking our food without gloves. So I asked her if she can put on gloves like her co-workers and she refused (she started speaking Spanish and acted like she didn't know what we're saying even though she spoke English in the beginning) I then told her to put on gloves when touching my food and she refused!! All of the food was sitting in plastic wrap above the hot pans because they were too lazy to wash them afterwards thus causing bacteria to form on all of their meat... we couldn't get a refund so we prayed over our food twice and left.later I contacted the health department on this place once my bf started getting sick after eating just 2 tacos. You don't have to work in the food industry to understand common sense on what quality and temperature the food should be held at, this place is an F and definitely needs to be shut down until it's taken care of.

I bought liver there and it's like the liver was poisoned. It really upset my stomach n bm's.. not to mention made my poop have a pugnant smell. It was disgusting, so much so that I will NEVER buy meat or anything else open container/package from there EVER AGAIN!

I stopped in quickly to check out their meat sales and didn't find anything special about their specials. They did have chicken legs for .69 cents a pound but I'm still not used to this price being special since I was spoiled to .39 cents per pound specials. I decided to wait to see if a better price can be found. I was not greeted nor approached by an employee to ask if I needed any help, although I did notice the meat counter workers eyeing me out of the corner of their eyes to see if I was going to stop in front of any items. This store has plenty of parking and space for the handi-challenged and entrance accomidations. A buffet section at the front entrance sported ready to eat selections that smelled great and immediately grabbed my attention awhile caused my stomach to growl. I intend to stop by on future Lufkin trips to try their ethnic cuisine.

Honestly, there is a lot of variety and it is worth it in some things, but I feel that most of the products are expensive and there are never two cashiers open.

Visited this location and I am not impressed. Customer service is attentive, the checkout girl messed up and was charging me $5 extra. The sweet bread is nasty, there's flies in the glass case. Their conchas are nothing like the real thing. I won't ever again set foot in one of these meat markets.
