Brookshire Brothers is an employee-owned grocery store located in Lufkin, Texas, serving communities across Texas and Louisiana since 1921. The store is known for its clean environment, friendly staff, and nostalgic layout reminiscent of grocery stores from the past. Customers appreciate the helpfulness of the employees and the decent selection of items available. However, reviews indicate that prices can be high, particularly in areas with limited competition. While some shoppers feel the produce quality could improve, many express gratitude for having a local grocery option, even if they sometimes prefer to travel to larger towns for better prices and selection. Overall, Brookshire Brothers remains a vital part of the community, offering essential grocery services despite some pricing concerns.
