I purchased a motor through autozone commercial back on 02/26/2025. They ran my debit card for an amount over $5000. The motor was scheduled to be delivered to my shop on 4/16/2025. I called and kept being told the engine was still being built and would be another 5-6 weeks. Once 5/21/2025 came, I still had no engine and no updated eta. I called the vendor directly, and was told they never gave an ETA as this engine is on back order; for months. That’s fine I understand. So, no it’s 5/27/2025 and I asked them to go ahead and process the return since I never received the engine. I got told it would be handled and I would have my refund soon. I call in to verify on 5/30/2025 and get told they haven’t started the return because they were waiting on approval from higher ups because the store doesn’t generate enough to do the refund. (This is a lie as I know the commercial department averages $2k a day, not including the DIY Department). I got a hold of the TSM Sandy. She then confirmed that it has been processed and messaged me. “Looks like it was processed on June 3rd. I have the DM Michael reaching out to the Credit team to ask when you should see it on your credit card.” After checking in multiple times and getting a round around. Shawn, was the best communicating manager at hand letting me know they had actually processed the return, and it had been posted to my account as an instore credit charge account, he didn’t know why, and it’s not his fault. Above his pay grade. But what I will not accept is for this multi billion dollar company to take my money as a debit, for over $5000, and then refuse to refund me my money. It has now been over 2 weeks, over 9 business days. And I still don’t have my money back. I have now taken this to my bank directly and started a dispute for payment. The CSM Jesse and A.S.M. Shawn have tried all they could to get me my refund. At this point, it’s just the greedy multibillion dollar company holding back my own funds; from a small business.
As a former CSM, I never saw the TSM Daniel, or DM Rick R. Make a customer wait this long for a refund. When a customer brought back a $4k transmission in the same way I was returning this engine, they had that 4k in cash brought to 4201 for Nathan to process the return. This has been the worst case scenario for me as I now stand to lose a sale and a customer.
Shame that Daniel and Rick no longer run this district and territory.

First off let me say this AutoZone knows they have a fantastic team. I drive every day out from Houston to magnolia. So I am in AutoZone a lot. I was assisted by the name employee Joshua and Kevin. As I walk in you see one employee stalking drinks on their knees. Not bending over but making sure all the drinks are a face forward on their knees while stocking. I bought a part and it was not the correct fit but the system said it was. Went to change my purge valve out and it was not the exact one. They went above their way to find the correct one and the system would not allow me to credit what I had already paid for three times he attempted. He did not give up he switched monitors and still had patience to make sure the payment process went through even though it did not seem like it was. Both gentlemen were very professional and respectful this has been my first time I've ever experienced such high quality customer service at any AutoZone. With obtaining a business degree I want to say these two are very much an asset to your company.

My car battery died. I called AAA, and they told me that the battery needed to be replaced. They had one on their vehicle, but it would cost me over $200 with tax. My son had purchased the battery from AutoZone not too long ago, so I told the AAA technician that I wanted to see AutoZone will replace it under warranty but I was afraid to drive my car on busy 1488 and have it die on me. The AAA technician said he would follow my car to AutoZone. He did follow my car. I was so impressed by his service. He went above and beyond.
We went to AutoZone near 1488 and 2978 in Magnolia, which is close to our house. I described my problem to the person at the desk. He asked me the phone number that was used when the battery was purchased. I gave them my son's phone number, and they were able to pull up the record on the screen. They said it was still under warranty, so they would replace it at no charge. There was no attempt to prorate or anything. I was impressed by the customer service. I recommend them highly. They also installed it right then and there.
I just can't believe that I had two incredibly good experiences in one evening. May be, I should buy a lottery today!
