Making a 45 min drive to get a rental truck after the last location didn’t have what I reserved. This location it was transferred to but they aren’t answering the phone. I’ve called 3 times now.

I’ve rented dozens of vehicles from this location and hundreds elsewhere - Amy is honestly the best person in the business. I’ve never had an issue with a rental and Amy/Kandi have become friends based on the service they provide.

I want to start this review by saying that the ONLY reason I gave this Avis car rental center a one-star review is that zero stars and \"negative stars\" aren't an option. 1) Customer Service- was atrocious. The receptionist was one of the rudest people I've ever met, from interrupting to yelling at me. While trying to discuss my bill with them, they TOLD me to 'Get out of line; other customers are waiting\". Apparently, I was no longer a customer even though I had just paid over $1,000 for a vehicle rental. 2) After I had checked my vehicle in, I was informed I was late and an additional day would be charged. I said fine, then I'll keep the car for another day. I was then told the check-in was complete, and I could not keep the vehicle. 3) I am an Avis Preferred Plus member, and the receptionist took advantage of my card being on file, authorized the additional charges, and closed the purchase without my knowledge or consent. 4) I would rather walk than rent from here again.

The staff here was very pleasant. It’s the only reason I gave 2 stars. My issue is there was zero checking of tires before I left for Dallas in my car on 5/23/23. The vehicle drove a bit roughly, but I thought maybe that was the mileage. Turns out one 3 of the tires were very low on air but no warning lights. Had a flat the following morning on way to airport. Tipped the tire guy $30 of my own money as he was the only one on duty that time of the morning. Now I return home from a 21-day visit out of country to a bill for $100. Ridiculous. I’ve never had an issue with Hertz or Enterprise and will go back to them from now on. Will definitely be telling everyone I know to NOT use Avis.

My go-to place for car rentals. Always friendly/helpful staff. Extending my rental was easy just like picking up/dropping off. Amy & Kandi do a great job!

I know one thing.... These rates are through the roof in Houston because of Hurricane Imelda. $101 to extend my rental for a day....Hell naw!
