This was actually my second trip to Honea Egypt Self Storage. I first stopped by on Saturday after UPS decided to drop my package here after just one delivery attempt at my home. The lady working Saturday was polite and helpful — she didn’t have the package yet, but she also never mentioned that I’d need anything special to pick it up.
Fast forward to my second visit, and I was met by Paula, who was the complete opposite. Extremely rude and condescending from the moment I walked in. I showed her my ID with the same last name and address as the package (which was in my wife’s name), but she refused to release it without some unnecessary “email verification.” She made me wait around just to tell me no, and acted like I was doing something wrong for even asking.
It’s ridiculous that one employee can treat people with respect and another can be so flat-out nasty. If the last name and address match, that should be plenty of verification — I’m not a stranger. UPS really needs to stop using this location as a pickup spot until they can hire staff who actually understand customer service and basic courtesy.

Honea Egypt Self StorageMarie Cox , I was in need of a job so I interviewed with Ken Milstead and Marie Cox,I got hired in November 2021. I started working there and Marie was the worst Boss I have ever had she’s a Micro Manger, She stands over you. To the point that you can not do the job properly. I worked there for 6 months, A customer told me one day I would not allow here to speak me that day.. it is a horrible Company to Work for due to Marie Cox..Everyone who has worked there had had the same problem I have had!! Needless to say she still say she still works there I do not. I would not recommend working there or Renting Storage from HONEA EGYPT SELF STORAGE!! Marie Cox is very Toxric and so is the Company!!

This storage company is not a good as they are rate. Since day 1 I have had a hard time with them. I reserved a time and unit and it took over 4 hours for them to give me a correct unit since they were so unorganized and could not find a empty unit. I have been with them for less than 6 months and I was told pricing is good for 1 year and now they want to increase pricing. I have multiple basic storage units with them that basically cost them not much to manage and they want to increase pricing. The manage is rude and always wants to respond in a smart way when asked a question. They bug every month for their payment even before the due date. I have paid and never been late but they always want to call like if I don't remember. I dont advise renting units from them since their staff is unprofessional and their units are not even that secured.

I dealt with many companies and many different people during the process of building a house, selling a house, and moving twice. Denise and Honea Egypt Storage proved to be the top of my list when it came to ease of communication, cleanliness, reliability and integrity. I know this seems like a lot to say about a storage facility but it's good to know that there are still companies that know how to provide service to customers without making the process difficult or unnecessarily complicated. Thanks Denise and thanks Honea Egypt Storage.
