They actually refused to take my package a give me a receipt. The person at the front was beyond rude. I cannot believe they let rude people like this work here.

I live in South Austin and my neighborhood has those community mailboxes. Just today I received 3 letters each belonging to 3 different addresses. At least a couple dozen times per year I have to deliver my neighbors' mail to them from my mailbox. USPS HR forgot to send me my paperwork, I should have a paycheck at this point, right? (Since I'm doing the work.)

Stick with the competition. There’s a reason the business of usps has gone downhill; too many entitled employees who don’t want to actually work. Ups, FedEx, DHL… better to support anyone other than USPS especially this location. They are consistently so rude here

Every time I’ve been here, the employees have been friendly and fast. It’s never taken more than 10-15 minutes to get in and out, even when there is a long line of customers. I’ll always choose this location if possible.

We are very lucky to have this location in manchac. All of the other locations in South Austin are painfully understaffed and the line can go out the door. They are kind and always get you in and out very quickly. Happy holidays and thank you for what you do!

I like this post office location more than any other in the South Austin area. There is rarely a line and the staff are always pleasant and helpful, no matter the day or time. I think there may be some confusion by people concerning the location on Manchaca ROAD, which is not the same location as this one.

I just came from this post office to mail a package that had already had postal meter postage, tracking and everything It qualified for simply bring deposited in a mailbox but now the mail boxes all have slots that only take letters. So I went here for the first time just to hand it off for mailing. The guy was talking the whole time about who was to go on break next (only one other customer who was still filling out paperwork. He never said a word to me, just pulled this crumpled receipt out of the malfunctioning printer and tossed it to me. I hate dealing with the postal service and believe it is the best example of what we get when we put things in the "government's" hands. Lesson for all who think more things should be done by the federal government. I look forward to the dissolution of the USPS and I already try to do most shipping through UPS or FedEx or anyone else if possible

I drive from Buda to the Manchaca post office because it is so much better than my local one. The staff are polite and efficient, there's never a queue when I'm in there, and there is plenty parking. They also have a big cart for dropping off pre-pay packages, so those of us who do eBay, Poshmark, etc don't have to wait in line with the other customers

The lady with short dark hair that works here is terribly rude. She tried to make me feel stupid whenever I always send packages here. I sell items through Mercari and the buyer always pays for shipping/packaging, I’ve done it several times. If you can’t handle working around people then don’t.

I have never had an issue with this USPS location on FM 1626. I actually prefer this location than the Mockingbird Station on Menchaca Rd. The longest I have had wait in line is maybe 10 minutes and that was over the holidays. Great customer service.

Clean- respectful- quick service. I appreciated the additional help and how they went out of their way to accommodate my key change.

I am pretty sure that most of the bad reviews listed here, are not actually about this location on 1626 in Manchaca, but more about the Mockingbird Station on the newly renamed 'Menchaca' Rd!I've been coming to the 1626 post office for many years and have never had a bad experience at all!! I am accustomed to the folks who work the counter because there is very little turn over. The line is rarely long and if it is, it usually moves quickly. I will take the 1626 post office over any other in the area, ANY DAY!And to the lady who complained about them not taping your box for you, unless you are not physically capable of doing so, they do have each person normally tend to their own packaging...that's probably the reason there is not normally a line. They aren't doing it to be rude,
