I do not live in Austin, but made a day trip out for a tournament supporting cancer research. I really enjoyed the course layout and the greens rolled pure. Solid value and if I lived in Austin I would add Shadowglen to my rotation of courses.
Beyond a great course, the staff is first class. I left an expensive range finder, but didn't notice until I got home. Called back first thing next morning and Richard was able to work with the cart staff to track it down which was exactly where I left it.

Just to let all you members know and people paying them outrageous prices on that course that course is fixing to go down they have no more mowers I was the mechanic there the owners too cheap to fix the equipment so I left he no longer has a mechanic he's too money hungry so if your a member you're getting screwed. By the way the owner and the manager will lie to your face so be careful

Beautiful course with stunning views. The staff was friendly and the layout is both challenging and fun. The food is great too. Definitely worth a visit for any golf lover!

Awesome course, great staff, great food, lots of wildlife, the owner and management were beyond friendly and always willing to help. 10/10 recommend if you are in the Austin area!

Great value for public golf in Austin. Challenging track but fair and in great shape. New carts with touchscreen GPS and super friendly staff. If your new to the Austin golf scene or haven't played here in a while, definately check it out!

Best course I’ve played near Austin so far. Better than Star Ranch and Forest Creek. And those were my go-to’s. Can not wait to come back.

Just played here this morning. This course is phenomal. I played lost pines in bastrop and this course is on the same level if not better AND for HALF the price. Fairways are amazing, greens are amazing, brand new golf carts. Most tee boxes were in good shape with a few in not great shape but still very nice. They had crews hand picking any weeds popping up on the greens. I highly recommend and will 100% be back again.

The course continues to improve. I remember a few years back summer meant ant hills everywhere. Now the place looks greener and no pests around.

Course just got a new fleet of golf carts, now have a touch screen GPS and all carts have ice chests. Good upgrade! Now for the golf course, it's in AMAZING condition! Best course tee to green I've played this year. Greens really good, fairways plush, tee boxes need some love, but out of the three better the tee box than fairways or greens. Definitely call for a tee time or just book online.

All of the one-star reviewers are bitter babies who are disorganized or unrealistic about what it takes to operate an independent golf club.
Shadowglen is in the best shape I’ve ever seen. Staff is helpful. The course has interesting holes. Check it out.

The course doesn’t send closure or cancellation notices for booked tee times. It was a pleasant surprise showing up with a 4some to a closed course at 2pm on a Friday. So we’re going to Avery Ranch instead ?

Golf course is fine. Pretty expensive. However the manager lied in my face about a cancellation fee. I booked a Sunday morning tee time. Called and cancelled they didn’t send a email confirmation. Then got charged. I called back and They told me I shouldn’t have been charged and sent a cancel confirmation and said I had to take it up with golf now. I call golf now and they said the course charged it. Golf now called the course w me on silent hold while the manager said “yeah we see the charge but it wasn’t refunded bc it wasn’t cancelled 24 hours prior”. Even though he told me to directly he didn’t see the charge and it wasn’t up to them and had me calling golf now knowing it was their decision. Sloppy management which is disappointing.
