Do not let the 5 Star ratings fool you. I was not aware that the previous owner passed away and this facility is under new management. I have used this facility for years and will never again. I took my car in to get the rear brakes and right caliper replaced. They quoted me over $3000. They said the rear ABS motors needed to be replaced along with a lot of additional work they said needed to be done. I asked them to only fix the items I requested and they said that if I did not get all of the work done, they would not complete any of it. I had my car towed and repaired by another facility and they did a fabulous job and my bill was less than $800 and that included towing.

Refused to fix my truck because it was "too old" and had trash inside. Lois, the receptionist (and wife of the owner) was very rude. Veteran here, these people said "it didn't matter". I doubt the military discount is still in effect. It's sad the previous owners were no longer able to hang onto it (RIP Brian)

Used for years, brought many cars. Loved Bryan. Staff was always friendly until this interaction. It has always been overpriced but for the most part I recommended this place to my family and friendsToday, the staff was very rude and condescending. I brought in my car after doing extensive work ensuring the problem was the alternator. I told them I did not just want to pay for a retest of this since I spent so much time on it, and that I wanted to get the alternator replaced. The lady on the phone became extremely condescending and asserted because I am not a mechanic I am not qualified to know what is wrong with my car or how to fix it, asking "what are your credentials" like a Karen. Later she calmly called me to say their tests exactly showed what I had said, bad alternator. Further she proceeded to tell me how they were gonna charge $120 to replace my battery cables which are like $20 and can be changed in a few minutes. She overall wanted to charge $900 for alternator change and two cable replacements and $128 for the diagnosis. Before they started I explained I had a warranty with autozone and could replace the alternator, and wanted to do so. They said they would do the test then see my options, fully aware that according to store policy they could not replace the alternator with my autozone one. The front lady called the autozone to confirm my warranty and proceed to tell me that I can buy one from them and then work it out with autozone, but I cannot bring them the alternator. So, personally I feel like I was led on to pay for exactly what I told them I did not want in the first place Wasted a day where I could have gone to autozone myself and got my warranty alternator and changed it myself. I felt they thought no customer has ever repaired their own car before, or their customers can't access youtube. Overall felt scammed and they didn't care. Not the type of behavior that makes me feel comfortable leaving my car there for any point in time. 0/10Alas, I hear frustration with others can be frustration with self.

After being a customer here for years, I am sad to say I will never bring B&M any more business. I highly advise you to do the same. After the owner passed away, a new shop foreman has been hired who is incredibly unprofessional, including being quite rude. Not only did he refuse to accept my vehicle on tow, deeming it unworthy of spending any more money on, he was very rude to my wife and myself on the phone. He never offered any alternatives or suggestions. Just refused to help in any way.B&M used to do good work, and always at a fair price. But they have always taken extraordinarily long to fix vehicles. Often I would have to wait weeks between updates. But I knew I could trust them. Sadly that is no longer the case.

I’ve had a few of my vehicles serviced here a few times and always had a good experience. I’m not sure if it’s under new management but I had a horrible experience. They had my car for over 24 hours and did not even evaluate the car. I called multiple times for an update and Lois was clueless to what was going on. I will never bring my car here again. Lois was very rude and unprofessional.

I have used B&M over the years. And they have done great work. However, after Brian passed away the customer service sucks!! I recently went to have some work done on my car, and it brought in my analysis from AutoZone. The girl at the front desk took my analysis and repeated what I wrote down and told me it would $330 for their analysis of what AutoZone said was wrong, and it would take them 1 entire day just to do the analysis. I ended up taking my car to Pep Boys and they did the analysis for $99 and the fix was for under 400 bucks. Not coming back to B&M. It is a shame because the place was a great mom and pop business in Mansfield.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Friendly, fair, and very helpfulUpdate 4/4/23: Still my go to shop for car repair after 3 years. Still friendly, honest and helpful. I've never had concerns or doubts or felt mislead. When they see something that needs a fix during a routine maintenance check they explain it and show you why. Work they've done has always been done right, no issues.

This place used to be great, but the lady I spoke to was extremely unhelpful and rude. I asked for a quote on a water pump replacement/repair, which there is a standard set of hours for this routine replacement on our 2016 Jeep. I mentioned I had never had an issue getting a quote from them before, but she had nothing but excuses and started talking about replacing a water pump on a new Ford, which is not the same. Seems she just didn’t want to do a bit of leg work and check… She did tell me to have a nice day though, before she hung up on me.

While driving my wife's vehicle for some errands the battery light came on. we had the battery replaced a couple of months before so I figured it was the alternator. I took it by O'Reilly's and they confirmed that some of the diodes were failing. we were able to drop the vehicle off that evening and it was repaired within a couple of days later with a new alternator. My only disappointment is that they did not waive the diagnostic fee of $128. I thought that it was a standard practice to waive the fee if they performed the repair. Especially after it was very obvious the problem was the alternator. It's not as if I brought it by with a weird noise that required a lot of troubleshooting. Anyway I digress. I may or may not take it back in the future. The night drop off process was simple and convent. The staff was communicative and responsive to messages. The office was clean and functional.

Called B&M to get a ballpark cost for new front and rear brake pads after a local oil change business checked my brakes and said they were at 2mm. B&M ballparked new front and rear pads at $400 and stated that if new front and rear rotors were needed, the cost could be $800-$900. After dropping my car off and checking my brakes, B&M called me and quoted me $1,500 saying that the rotors could not be machined and that I needed new front and rear rotors. Decided to get a second opinion and took my car to a local dealership after being told that it was unusual that my car would need new rotors given its age and mileage. Dealership checked brakes and said the rotors were fine and they are able to machine them and add new brake pads, front and rear, for $279/axle, saving me nearly $1,000. I'm normally not a fan of the dealerships and try to give as much of my business to locally owned small proprietors as possible so I find this very concerning, questionable and unfortunate at best. B&M still charged me $128 for a "Brake Inspection" that I got for free while getting my oil changed and that a reputable dealership confirmed was poorly done. Lesson learned.Service: Brakes
