This storage place is the worst. I stored all of my valuables here while moving, and RATS are through every box. The rats even ate into my Grandmother’s urn. I have no idea how they ate through the metal, half of her ashes are gone because the rats ate those too. Shame on your business. Get an exterminator before this happens to someone else.

DO NOT USE! We have to contact lawyers because their office staff is uneducated on their insurance coverage and are eager to lie to make money.
It’s extremely disheartening to see the way cubesmart has no respect or regards for any of their customers belongings, especially as a military family. We came back to a plethora of our belongings DESTROYED from rodent/rat infest.
The office staff reassured us that we would be reimbursed by their insurance and to not worry—only to be told their policy doesn’t even cover rodent damage. This is absolutely unacceptable. They are clearly not warning people or making anyone aware when this is very obviously an on going issue from reviews.

So now that I saved what I could from my unit let’s talk about it! I had my stuff in these units for I want to say around 6 months. Fast forward to a week ago I was going to get my things and what do I find? That my things have been messed up by RATS & what’s even worse is the manager said their insurance doesn’t cover it so there is nothing they can do. So you mean to tell me my things are ruined because of a rodent infestation and there is no way for me to get reimbursed or compensated?!

We had a unit here for about 6 months and when we moved out, several items were completely destroyed by rats and needed to be deep cleaned or thrown out. The storage management required us to have insurance to protect our items but the insurance won’t cover anything cause by rodents, costing us hundreds of dollars in wasted insurance protection and damaged items. Other people I know have also had the exact same issue and storing your stuff here will ultimately cost you more money than it’s worth.

I’ve been going here a long time, and to be honest I love it the employees always take great care of me and help me when I need it, they also keep my belongings where they need to be great at keeping them safe and easily accessible if need be.

Kelly was wonderful in helping me choose a space. She helped me through the whole process. However my “ move in “ experience was not great. I hired a young man to mive approximately 30 bins into my space on Friday. It required 2 loads in his pickup. When we arrived at the CC building to unload, we found the outside door proportionate open with a dolly. A woman, Who was also loading her space, came around. I asked her if she knew why the door was propped open. I was concerned just because of the security, etc. She answered me that the keypad was not working. When we left for our second load, I asked her to please leave it open for us so that we could get in. When we came back, it was locked closed and I was 100% unable to get in using that keypad. We finally decided to go down to the other bay to get in that way and then prop the door open as we loaded. This most definitely needs to be fixed. Otherwise I have been very happy.

We had been in this storage unit for almost 10 years with no issues until now. The management (Tom and Kelly) were always professional and nice; however, we noticed rat droppings in our unit about a month ago. All of our items are for decorating events and kept in bins or boxes, we don't keep food or anything to attract rodents. We noticed the poison bait all around the property... and then we found a dead rat in our unit. Not pleased to say the least as I am terrified of rats!! No one was on site to dispose of it so I had to do so myself. We had a large unit which took over a week for us to clean the bins from rat feces and urine and relocate. Our rent wasn't waived, no discount for the inconvenience, nothing; and we had to pay $400 to move into our new unit and still pay full rent at Cubesmart!! On top of that, we had to throw away some of our silk flowers and other items because they smelled like urine. I don't blame the management for the issue, but once the issue was known to them, a proper warning could have been provided to the occupants and a better way to exterminate the rats rather than poison them knowing they would crawl into a unit to die! Totally disappointed in this outcome.

I've rented a climate controlled unit from this place for over a year now. I went 1 month ago to clear the unit out and it was entirely covered in rat poop and urine and chew stains. Everywhere over the entire unit. Rat turds everywhere. The protection plan you get with the units does not cover rodents and the employee didn't help me whatsoever with this issue. I plan on throwing everything away as I have 3 kids and don't want rat piss and poop anywhere near me or my family. Do not rent from this place. They don't upkeep rodent and pest protections and even if you have an inner unit you're likely to get infested with rats like I did. I'm throwing all my furniture away because of this. Thank you cube smart for not doing a thing whatsoever to help or mitigate. You can see from the photos the rat poop and pee and evidence of chewing.
