It is what it is! This is our little community store. Some people call it the 'trip saver'. It is a neat little place, welcoming to all. No trip to Marathon is complete without visiting the French Grocer. You're Welcome!

We stopped here on our way to Big Bend. The tacos were so incredible, but outdone by the people who ran the store. I would recommend stopping here on the way to BB to anyone who asks, one of the highlights of our trip.

Super precious grocery store. It quiet, clean, organized and with a small floodplain. Definitely has the necessary essentials for the passing wayward traveler and even baked goods, sandwiches, coffee and other snacks.Surprised to fall upon this very friendly gem.

This is not your average grocery store. They truly care about their town and the people in it. While we were there they had a fund raiser for someone who had cancer. Great people!

As expensive as would be expected for a remote store. Friendly people and staff is efficient.

We stumbled upon this cozy store during our stargazing road trip. The store charmingly offers a diverse selection of necessities, making it feel like a home away from home. Their in-house coffee shop was a delightful surprise, and the available wine was a welcome addition.

Very expensive, but there for you in a pinch. The customer service was good too. I wouldn’t do my grocery shopping there but if I needed something last minute I would pop in to get what I need. Alpine is 30 minutes down the road though and I will be doing my big runs there for sure.

Sooooo cute! The staff is wonderful. Their prices are very fair & they have a great selection of healthy foods. We accidentally stumbled across this place & I am so glad we did. We also got lucky & got to crash a music night!

Awesome burgers on Friday nights. Groovy vibe. Great selection for a small store and owner, Sam, is the best! A MUST visit in the Big Bend.

We stopped by here on our way to Terlingua and they had everything we needed! We chose not to get the apples because they weren't very fresh. But they had fire wood, sunscreen, bug spray, wine bottle opener, and other typical grocery items, that we were looking for. They also had cute little souvenirs such as stickers and Texas themed books. ALSO they were playing an illenium playlist the Friday afternoon that we were there so I immediately loved the vibe.

Love the French Company Grocer! They have so many options for food, including giant bottles of kombucha. They also have fresh veggies and fruits and a wonderful variety of beers and wines. They offer draft beer also. French Company Grocer can also whip you up a fresh coffee and offer delicious hand-made sandwiches. You can also find sundries and a variety of nice merchandise to remember your trip. Definitely a must see when you are in Marathon, TX!
