Marfa Book Co. Is perhaps my favorite thing about Marfa. I always find great and surprising titles here.

This is a new business in Marfa. They were hosting an Art Show for the Marfa ISD High Schoolers. For a small space they laid it out well. The employees were kind and informative.

Thoughtfully curated books—in both the arts, literature, architecture, and of course Marfa.

Very cozy, but loud bookstore. Its inside or connected to the hotel across from the restuarant/bar.

It's okay and has good books for tourists. The staff didn't really acknowledge us while browsing. They were pretty into their conversation.

Three of us visited the hotel considering a visit to the bar. We stopped in the bookstore and the young woman never acknowledged us or took her eyes off her computer. Unless she was watching security camera video, she didn't speak. We left to walk to bar same attitude. We went back to our hotel for the evening.

A must visit while in Marfa! Books on art and local wildlife are abundant.

Understandably focused on contemporary art and criticism, given the presence of the Chinati Foundation here. Most people don't know that the hotel in which the bookstore is located was, at one time we were told, all bookstore. Upper floors were added later.

A very nice and well laid-out store, but I'm not sure I understand the hype. Almost every book is about minimalist art (as to be expected), Marfa, or the Big Bend region. Frankly, I found the Big Bend books to be the most interesting. Ironically, I didn't see any books about the Marfa Lights, but that could have just been my lack of observation.

Enjoyed the selection of art books here. Can spend a good chunk of time perusing the collection of titles.
