General Store is located in a historic building at the Marshall train depot, offering a turn-of-the-century and old school impressive atmosphere. The food is always good, excellent, and very good, featuring dishes like sauteed venison, excellent fried shrimp, fried oyster brochette, and the Boogie Woogie Beer Battered Shrimp. The seafood pasta and oysters on the half shell are also great. The shop has really unique gift items as well as affordable boutique items, including very trendy clothing and an amazing shoe selection. The environment is clean yet rustic. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, providing excellent service that is available but not smothering. It is a go-to spot for special occasions or to feel special.
