The ConsUsed to be a family oriented business but they will pay you with peanuts as compared to ANY other company. The great mystery as to the actual rate they get paid but your rate sheet is is fraction of the actual. Bottomline, you will be working really hard to clear very little at the end of the year. They sweet talk you and explain you will gross alot, but trust me, factor in all the expenses.. you are way way better off as a company driver. You are 100% responsible for any lease agreement, rental, repairs, trailer expenses, insurance, fuel etc. Save yourself, the headaches the responsibilities and frustrations of many before me and the many after me. Forget about holidays with family, you can't really choose your own schedule like a typical 1099 contractor. You have to work their shift hours. You are basically getting 40% of the rate and paying 100% of the expenses. Very disadvantageous for any driver...all upside is geared towards the company. They hold 6 weeks of paychecks. You will carry the growing company on your back, your stress levels will en through the roof. The prosNo one really messes with you so you can run your own hours although with the current inflation, you will spend alot of time in that truck to break even. They provide all the equipment upfront to start right away.Very structured and reliable load count.Basic expense listTruck lease$ 750/ weekInsurance $250/weekFuel $ 750/weekMonthly (workman comp) insurance $250/monthQuarterly Taxes (depends)Road use taxes. DependsHeavy vehicle tax (depends)Repairs (you will go through 1 set of tires per year)Maintenance program (oil changes required every 5k miles ) about 450/monthEquipmentSuppliesCellphone $150Uniforms4 gas monitor $750VILK tank inspection $1000 yearly

Be careful doing parts and service with this company. Daniel will tell you to set out parts and you pick them up only to be we be paid and you end up footing the bill. Be careful doing any business and make sure you are fully paid upfront.

Hopefully I save someone from making the mistake of a lifetime. This company will treat you like a company driver when it suits them (schedule, forced dispatch), and an owner operator when it comes to the long list of expenses. Run away for your own good! They pay 65% of what other jobs like this typically pay while they hold 6 weeks of your revenue only to have leverage as their turnover is high. Once you quit, they keep it and move on to the next blind mice. You cant even pick your days off and esentially need to live in the truck to make a decent living. Expect 80+hrs a week, to earn less than company driver pay. Expect to work all holidays and if you dont work more than 4 days the week, you wont get paid. When you realize the scam, its too late, you will go through your savings and still get a bill while you worked 6 weeks for free!
