Staff at entrance were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful park, the oldest in Texas. I tried to stop and ask the two employees in the dodge truck twice and ask them questions and both times they looked at me and the looked the other way. Very strange, but other than that I enjoy coming here.

This is a real gem, made great by fabulous facilities and park staff. The campsites are unmatched in the TPWD system, with close-by wonderful hiking trails, beautiful wildflowers and the interpretive center was as good as I've seen. To top it off, a multi activity crafting corner for kids. Too good.

Outstanding, dark sky State Park with great facilities, friendly, knowledgeable staff / park rangers and park hosts. Réservations are a little tough due to popularity and frequent no-shows.
